Possible to UPSELL with paypal?

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone had any information about UPSELLING with payment processors such as PAYPAL?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What do you mean by upselling? Are you looking to offer multiple products at different prices? Or are you looking to offer additional products or services after a buyer makes the purchase?

If you are thinking about upselling once a buyer has already selected to add to cart in standard paypal, or is taking off the site to paypal, I do not think this is possible. I haven't heard of it.

In most cases you will need to use PayPal pro so you can control all the buying/selling on your website, therefore you can custom code any products/upsales you want before the purchase.

Hope this helps, I could be off track here, but I was confused with what you were asking.

What you can do is redirect the buyer to a new url once the payment has been processed. There is an option within Paypal when you setup the Paypal button to redirect them to another page.

Make that page a sales page for your upsell and then repeat the process for the next buy button.

Your other alternative is to try and use WooCommerce (free WP plugin). It allows you to set up upsells and cross sells for each product and works directly with Paypal as well.

As Di said, you can redirect them after purchase to a new sales page for the upsell.

Just be sure you include a "No Thanks" link on the page, so people can get their original purchase without purchasing the upsell.

You can also do this with JVZoo (JVZoo.com - Instant Commission Platform for Sellers and Affiliates) and it probably has more flexibility than PayPal alone (I've never tried this with PayPal)

You simply set up a free account and link it to your PayPal account. Each upsell is added as a separate product. The big advantage here is that you can very easily swap out or rearrange upsells and add downsells and get as creative as you want to.

It also has a built in affiliate system so you don't have to worry about the tech aspects of setting this up on your own.

They don't charge a monthly fee instead they take a small percentage (just like a credit card company). Definitely worth checking out.

    Good luck

I don't send traffic traffic to opt in pages anymore. I Do This instead...

Not sure if I understand your question entirely, but what I would say is always put out the upsale first, than follow it up with a downsale. If you go the other way around you are leaving $$$ on the table.

You definitely can but it needs to be done via a shopping cart. I recommend the free WooCommerce cart. I get more benefit out of that than the $100 per month 1shoppingcart.
