How long did it take you to "WAKE UP" and realize what actions was hurting your progression in I.M ?

It took me years to realize all of the mistakes i was doing when i was trying to "make money online". I was chasing after "get rich quick" schemes and was buying every product i could get my hands on in different topics of I.M...It seemed like i went through a severe episode of "information overload" like it was really a mental disorder.... I was all over the place and like they say "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways".

Deep down inside i knew that these same actions i was doing over and over wasn't getting me anywhere and for me to progress i would have to get rid of these old ways ( it was really hard for me to do at that time ). So i got myself organized focused on one thing that i felt i needed to improve on , which is "MYSELF"... I started reading books about self improvement and a couple of e-books on information overload and really absorbed the information.

Finding out information overload was really the cause of my downfall just from reading about it, really gave me a wake up call. It really opened my eyes and afterwards it was kind of like a step by step process to recovery, it felt like i needed to go to rehab for information overload (that's how bad it was lol). From the information i learned i knew i was going in the right direction, i learned great self-discipline in the process and focused on one thing i really wanted to learn from the get-go, which was product creation.

When i felt that i ready to focus on another sub topic that was related product creation (traffic generation etc...) while still focusing on my product creation projects everything has just been falling into place for me and i finally feel like i'm really making progress.... "Remember slow progress is better than no progress". How long did it take you to WAKE UP and realize what actions was hurting your progression in I.M ?

It took me more than a year when i got that my site is full of errors and my site cant rank well in search engine.
Before this my aim was to copy all the importent conten which relates my site topic to my website but afterward i relise
    Copy conten should be prohibited
Site should be optimized and easy UI.
Then now i started learning seo and article writting which inspires me a lot to work more and more .

But the problem still i have is my site was having 200 unique visit per day when i was concentrating only on conten.

And now the unique visit fall to 100 when i started doing seo and removed copy conten.

What should i think further to get much traffic.

It only took an instant. But it was years in coming and I had to hit bottom first. But the bounce back was tremendous and hugely uplifting!

I woke up fast enough, but that is only the first step. You then have to actually know how to make money. "Information overload" basically means you have a lot of information being thrown at you but dont' really know which is good and bad. Unfortunately, all the information I ever read still didn't make me successful. You still have to find the niche and the AFFORDABLE and AMPLE traffic source. Or you have to find multiple niches if one doesn't make you enough money. No one taught me that. I went out and found it. Unfortunately, some people won't find it.

  • It didnt take me long to realize that I score far better results when I dedicate myself to just a few big projects per year (maybe 2, max 3 per year) rather than messing around with a number of half-arsed ventures.

It took a few years to realize the dynamic going on that was hindering my progress and success. But it took even longer to change it. For me, and probably others, lifelong issues were not easy to change and internalize the changes.

Pardon my dancing around the specifics; it's personal.

The nuts and bolts of doing business online are the easy part. Easy to find the right information and there's no rocket science involved. It's the 'other stuff' going on inside that proved the greatest challenge. Truly a journey of personal discovery.
