Hi,

what is the difference between
Unconfirmed vs. Inactive subscribers?

My getresponse support told me to get
rid of "inactive subscribers"...what are they?

Thanks
BJ

Inactive means they finished your autoresponder series.

Unconfirmed means they didn't finish the double optin.

Are you sure they said get rid of inactive? Can't you still broadcast them?

There is still hope for unconfirmed subscribers to make them complete the subscription process..

are you sure inactive subscribers arent just users who dont open the emails, not ones that have finished the series as you can still email them for a broadcast

Yes Jimmy, inactive means they don't take any part of conversation between you and them (don't open emails, it follows from the foregoing that they'll not make business with you.)

Get rid of them, if you're unable to activate them.

            Cheers,

Yes, you can still broadcast to them. From what I understood from Getresponse, users will be "inactive" if you don't have a series of messages that get sent out. I don't have a series set up right now; I use the "broadcast" feature if and when I have something to say.

From my experience, inactive subscribers are those subscribers who had been ignoring your email and won't try to talk to you nor buy anything from you. They will just delete the emails that you sent them if they don't bother to unsubscribe (just like me ) or most probably the email address no longer exists.

Just like what VinceNouvel said, the problem with unconfirmed subscribers is that the messages usually arrive in the junk folder or worst case, they have never received it.
