Legit work from home opportunities

I recently quit my job a few weeks ago (walked out because my boss was terrible) and din't have anything lined up. I have enough saved to get me through the month but I should ideally find a new job ASAP. I've been diagnosed with a few psychiatric illnesses, and because of that, I work MUCH better on my own and without a boss or co-workers which is why I want to find a legitimate work from home gig. Do you know of any LEGIT work from home opportunities? I'm sure I'd be a great virtual assistant, customer service rep, or freelance writer. I'm just not sure where to go to find and apply for these types of jobs because I feel like most online ads are scams. Any helpful feedback is appreciated!

Have you tried ODesk, Elance, or Freelancer? They are quite reputable. However, the competition can be tough since you're competing for jobs with international people (which would allow them to offer lower price for their work.

You can alway try offering your service to people in this forum too. =]

You can start from Fiverr, write articles for $4/500 words and THEN once you reach level one and two, you can add gig extras to make more money. This is a good method to not only make money, but you will be making many clients for future, larger jobs. Don't be turned off by the initial pay; it gets easier and much better.

You could also try freelance sites such as oDesk, Elance, etc. If you do a quick search, you'll find many available opportunities for freelancing. One that I recommend is constant-content. If you possess excellent writing skills, you can write 500 word articles and sell them for whatever price you want. That being said: the guidelines on that website are extremely strict, and should be used cautiously.

Once you begin to make consistent money through freelancing: purchase a WSO and execute the method. The typical method would consist of picking a niche, making a website and/or splash page, incorporate email marketing and sell affiliate products. The reason I suggest you leave this until you start making consistent income is due to the amount (very little compared to offline businesses) of money which may be required, not only for the website, but also the email marketing software, and advertising.

Head on over to warriors for hire and find something you can do that will make you $100 or more instant Paypal Cash. Warning: Fiverr sucks because it is hard to stack 5 bucks + you have to wait like 3 weeks to get paid.

You can also do any services on Craigslist barter arbitrage. Basically you find a service that someone needs and then go on to O desk ,etc. and find someone to do the job good and cheap and you pocket the difference. Always make sure that whoever you use has good track record.

Great ideas thanks everyone! The only thing I was worried about Odesk, Freelance and such sites IS how hugely competitive it is! But I guess it's worth a shot considering I have nothing to lose!
