This Is The Coolest Tool Ever...

Hi all,

I was doing some research for an article I'm writing for a client, and I came across this awesome tool - Gallery | Create Infographics | Visual.ly

It has a ton of different features, but one of the things it does is take your Google Analytics traffic stats and import them into a nice, clean-looking infograph.

It's AMAZING what this tool can do. Seriously. My mind is still trying to comprehend all of the traffic data it's just given me - percentages, things that went up/down, and exactly what happened in the past week on my site.

Basically, create an account and select the Weekly Insights template, login to your Google account, and they'll import all the data from your Analytics account. Takes a few seconds.

All for free! Enjoy...

Regards,
JR John

P.S. I'm not an affiliate, there are no aff links in this post, I just found a cool tool and thought y'all would like to know.

This looks like an incredible resource. There are a ton of useful tools.

What is the catch? It appears to be totally free. How do they monetize this site?

I don't think there is a catch (for the Analytics reporting, anyway). They might have an optional paid upgrade, but the free version is more than enough for the most of us.

Probably selling your data. In addition to any paid upgrades or ads they may have. Great looking tool, thanks for sharing.

I don't see the option to use this without signing up for one of their plans. Have you used this "free" infographic creator before? Please pm me as it looks interesting.

Hi Matt - you have to sign up to one of their plans (e-mail and name, completely free), verify your e-mail addy, and you're good to go.

After you've signed up and logged in, you should see a "Weekly Insights" template on this page - Gallery | Create Infographics | Visual.ly - which you can select to integrate with your Analytics account.

    Wow. This is great.

Visual.ly has been there for quite a while. But, I haven't really paid that much attention to them. Is this a new tool? Or, has it been there for a long time already?

I do agree. Basically, info graphics bring viewers in. Also people stay on your site longer and spend more green. OK so using em is a formula for success. People can get plenty of traffic from Google images. Thanks for sharing with us. Creating content is a great strategy to gain more viewers.

I know plenty of people who work there and they have a fantastic story about how to overcome failure. They actually launched that tool 3 times... yes 3 times!

The first time it completely flopped and they took it down and remade it. They then launched it a second time and it flopped again. At this point most would give up but they brushed themselves off and did some real research into how to make it a success.

They found that you need a number of different pushed to build momentum in a product and that simply having a large announcement on launch was not enough. They hired a number of PR and Marketing experts and took the site down. They spent months giving exclusives to numerous websites/magazines and making sure they all released their articles at different time on different days to help create momentum.

The third time this site got over 10 million hits its first week and it's still going strong.
