Linking To An Authority Site

How do I link a word from my blog article to an authority site?

In other words if I was writing about weight loss and I wanted to link the word weight-loss to Wikipedia how would I do that?

    Do you mean in HTML?

    Like this:

    Code:
    <a href="http://en.wiki.org/link/">weight loss</a>
But using if you are using Wordpress the above video gives more detail. Some WP plugins and themes make it easier with short codes or other options.

      Hi Todd,

onSubie has it right if you're talking about an HTML hyperlink. If using Wordpress, you can use a plugin like Linkify Text which will automatically hyperlink words/phrases of your choosing to links of your choosing.

Do a search on Google for the Wikipedia page on the specific keyword. Taking your example you would key in google search box - weight loss site:wikipedia.org

Now the listings that you get on Google are Wikipedia pages that are relevant for the keyword "weight loss". Use one of the listed urls to link back from your site using the keyword weight loss.
