Solo Ads for my Site?

Hello Warriors,

Just a quick question. I'm not truly familiar with Solo Ads and their purpose so if someone could explain them that'd be great. Would that be beneficial to my site which is an eCommerce site (social media provider)?

Thanks,
Disruption

Most solo ad sellers will want you to send people to a free offer landing page. It's used mainly to build email lists quickly. Depending on your niche, you might find some sellers who will let you direct traffic from your solo ad to your ecommerce site, but they will likely be few and far between.

So what would be a way to advertise my site if that's the case?

Depending on what you're selling, create a simple squeeze page where you offer a freebie in exchange for signing up to your email list. Push your site and your products in the follow-up emails.

It's like a "real" business... most of them have customer lists and either email or mail coupons, alerts about special offers, new product announcements, etc. That's all you're doing.

I'd also get some social networking going. Make a Facebook fan page, get on Twitter, etc. If your niche is popular at all, there will be communities online talking about it.

Solo ads would be pointless just sending to your site. The whole point of Solo Ads is to collect e-mail via a landing page. If you're not doing that than you are leaving a lot of money on the table. If you are trying to get people to your site. You can submit articles to Squidoo, you can Video Market, you can post on forums, and you can also guest post and guest comment on other peoples sites, those are just a few ways there are many ways to get traffic back to your site, always remember to lead with value. The key is to find one method that works for you and stick with it and not hop around from one method to the next.

You have to test it for yourself.

That is the only way to find out.

    Hi,

Yeah you simply approach other Solo Ad sellers that are out there and
have lists that are relative to your offer and pay them for a set amount
of clicks that go to your offer.

This could be a landing page that then goes to a PAID offer.

If you can manage to make back your investment or indeed be in profit
from your ad then you know that you have a well crafted funnel set up and
    in place.

Testing is key though and you need to get out there and at least get your
    feet wet.

    All the best
    Gavin
