Hard to get sale with squeeze page

I used to work with adsense, amazon, and affiliate marketing. I sent my traffic directly to the offer without capturing their email, I do get sales from that method. Many guru suggest me to set up a squeeze page to get their email for future offer. Recently, I started out with squeeze page and spent around $30 on FB PPC and find it quite hard to get sale. 1000+ clicks, only 77 sign up for the free gift. The page looks professional but I have no idea why it doesn't make a single sale, I am in the health niche. Did I do something wrong?

The conversion rate of subscribers from those that Click your ad can be a result of any number of things.

First, the traffic you are targeting must be targeted. Are you targeting the right people on FB? There are ways to filter who sees your ad.

    2. The squeeze page has to be good with a compelling headline, benefits and call to action for them to give their email address to you.

    3. The Giveaway has to be good enough for them to want it, this aligns with 2 above.

Send me a PM and I'd be happy to take a look at your ad and squeeze page if you would like any pointers at all.

Does your FB ad relate to your squeeze page offer in any shape or form? This would be a good place to start.

You must target your audience correctly and also target your ad to your right audience. also check if the offer you are promoting sells or not. you should also build some relationship or trust with your list before selling to them.

        Alex,

Typically, the squeeze page has one, and only one purpose - to capture the contact information. Usually the prospect is then nurtured and prepared for the sale by the list owner over time. If you are trying to make an immediate sale by sending your traffic to the offer directly your conversions may suffer.

As others will tell you, prospects typically purchase from those they know and trust in most instances (although impulse sales are a little different). In the health niche I would suppose that trust is important (although I'm not in that niche and am only guessing).

Maybe you should try nurturing your prospects before you hit them with an offer. Just a thought . . .

Squeeze pages usta work great. Now squeeze pages work for some markets, others they just don't. Either way, space in a person's inbox has become more valuable over the years as marketers have under-delivered the value in exchange for a visitor giving up their email address and as information has become easier to access. In other words... If your claim is to "Have The Secret To... Whatever", understand that people have learned to see thru that and guard their email more than ever. Bottom line is, if you have a product or service that reflects the people you're paying to get in front of - give them access to the product and let the affiliate cookie do it's work. Maybe try offering something else of value in exchange for their email and retargeting them with ads.

          Hi Steve,

Your comment is not true. The op is making sales without the Know, Like and trust factors that you talk about when he does not use the squeeze page.

The problem is that the squeeze page is stopping a lot of traffic from getting to the sales letter.

The traffic that sees his sales letter is cut form 1,000 + to 77 views. If his conversion rate is only .5%, the op needs to get 200 views to get a sale. He needs to get the conversion rate of the squeeze page up from 7% to at least 30% to get 1 sale per 1000 hits on the squeeze page.

Even at that rate the op can be losing money depending on the profit from 1 sale. If the product is the op's product, he needs to get the conversion rate up on the product also.

If the product is not the op's product, he should look for a similar product with a higher conversion rate.

This all applies if he continues to use the same method of getting traffic.

But since he is building a list, he should have a set of 7 to 10 follow up emails that also give content as well as more advertising for his product. This is were you start building the know, Like and trust that you talked about.

          Best regards,
          Steve Yakim

To add to what Steve said, if you have low converting squeeze or sales page, you should try to 1: make sure you're not advertising too broadly, 2. increase conversion, 3. improve your backend offer, profit, and conversion to cover your ad cost. Either way tho, you should try adding retargeting ads.

Well, you paid $.39 per subscriber, which actually isn't bad. You really just need to work on the sales funnel conversions to make that profitable. Don't know what you're selling, but I'm sure it can be fine-tuned and if you can keep the cost per subscriber relatively low, it'll be a winner. Then it's just a matter of throwing more money at it on the front end.

It's a good idea to link to your offer on the page that they see after opting in, if you haven't done so.
Say, at the top of the page, "You'll get an email with your free gift shortly. In the meantime, here's a special offer you may be interested in...".
