Link to Pre-Sell or Review page in email folllow up or link straight to affiliate's sales letter?

Trying to get some opinion as I know some people strictly do one and some a little of both.
(Maybe the situations could vary depending on the Affiliate Merchant's Sales letter and its quality ?)

Is there clear cut evidence that a link in the email funnel to a pre-sell or review page (and then a link there going to affiliate's site) has higher conversion rates for a sell than a link going straight to affiliate's sales letter in the email ?

Isn't there some redundancy doing this especially if the affiliate's sales letter is great to begin with ? At first I stated in another thread that it was. But maybe now that I think about it after another Warrior pointed out ,this presell or review page could be helpful.

But why not just put a solid paragraph in the email follow up that you talk about how the product could benefit them and after that put the link going straight to the affiliate merchant's sales letter at end of email ?

Rather than go to another page and have a Review or pre sell ?? Is this for reinforcement or could it be overkill ? ( As I thought it was before)

Thanks for any input .

Robert

    Hi Robert,
If you are talking about "cold traffic", then linking to a pre-sell page is for one reason alone....to make you stand out from others.

But if you are emailing to your own subscribers ( warm leads), then the reason for "preselling is none other that providing your "added value" to your subscribers. As your subscribers , I would like to know the reasons for your recommendation and even what it had benefits you in the 1st place. You can do it on your email or link it to a presell page for this. But personally, I would rather link it to a pre-sell page to bring them from Email Inboxe Interface to a more focused "preselling page" if you know what I mean.

      Thanks Jason.
The 'focused' part makes sense !

Should the presell page be a long one pager of formal Copy ? Or just a few impromptu paragraphs describing you personal opinions about the product..... i.e nothing formal or fancy and nothing with all the bells and whistles or any set template ?

And is a Review Page better than a Pre Sell page or they kind of interchangeable ?

        Hi Robert,
No straight answers for that, but here are a few scenarios....

If the products is in "Launch Phase" or "High Priced" perhaps a long one pager formal copy with some extra bonus is better.

If the products is simple to understand and low price, an informal impromptu paragraphs will do.

        The KEY here is ENGAGEMENT.

How would you engage your audience to have your Most Wanted Response ( Opt in a form, click on a link, go to a page...etc.)?

What I always practice is I always imagine myself as my audience and ask myself what will I feel or do when I am engage with the funnel or message I am crafting.

Hope these make sense to you.

There's some benefit to that. Making subscribers click through to too many places has the chance of losing some of them along the way.

Unless, as another poster pointed out, you're in a niche where it's doing so is the better choice.

    Hello Robert,
If you simply write a paragraph in email most of the peoples just direct open the link and if you make a good looking sells page that have bullet point of your product then the buyer become more interested to see that what is your product.
    HOPE THIS HELPS!
