Sharing Assets Fairly

Let's say you have a partner to develope a product. Revenue is easy to share.

My question is, how do you fairly "share" the email list of buyers? I don't think it's fair or right to put customers on two lists and I don't think splitting them up into two lists is the right thing to do, either?

Maybe have one partner have the list and pay that partner an extra $1 (for example) per sale for the lead?

How do you folks with partners handle this?

    The last time I did anything along this line, we used a rotator script to distribute prospects evenly among the people in my lead coop. There were five of us. The person who actually did the work setting up the capture page, running the ads, etc. got an extra share, so the prospect info was split six ways.

    If you're talking about the buyer list, I'm not sure how you'd handle that...
