Reviewers Tips | Better Conversions

I am working on a niche site, I will probably have nearly 50 product reviews upon completion, which will average probably 150-250 words each.

My niche isnt anything techy, so you really dont need a ton of info. Im targeting a buyers keyword so I don't really need to hard sell them at all. Site is more like a resource to avoid scrambling amazon or ecommerce sites. Pretend I was selling something simple like lawn chairs and thats kind of the idea.

I have only ever done long 600-1000 word reviews so I dont know the best structure for a soft sell sub 350 word review site.

I dont know if I should just have a brief company background followed by product info.
  • Or if I should have a concluding statement,
  • and/or add my own personal thoughts,
  • and/or a pros and cons list,
  • and/or address the negatives, and/
  • or write what other customers are saying.
  • rating stars out of 5?

In a 1000 word review I would include ALL the above but for this I am not sure what converts best.

    I've heard that personal reviews often convert much better than ones written in the 3rd person.

    That's the only real advice I have on the subject.

    I decided on:

    brand history intro
    product overview / injected with my slightly narcissistic sarcastial humor
    good and bad list

    all together 250 words

      Agree with the others, personal reviews are best. All the other info can be found on a site like amazon, so a review really isn't worth much unless it also has some of your own insight and special flair to make it different and give the person some value.
