In the process of building a site...need advice???

INTERNET MARKETING

Hello,

I have a new idea I'm working on. I'm going to build in wordpress for a change. It's a real estate house listings website. I'm trying to decide if I should just build it myself and just find a theme, or if I should outsource it to Freelancer.

The challenge is I've found some themes that are close to what I need but realistically none of them are exactly what I want. So I think I'd have a lot of problems trying to manipulate it as I'm really a novice when it comes to wordpress.

I was thinking of just mapping out what the site might look like and then sending it to some freelancer and have them put it together. Do you think that's the best approach???

During my time in Internet Marketing, Ive learned one thing:

If there's a certain skill that you lack for internet marketing (whether its website design, copyrighting, SEO etc), then you either take the time to become really good at it OR outsource it to someone who's an expert!

It's better to spend money on someone else to make your website flawless (so it makes you money!) rather than saving money, doing it yourself & doing a sub-standard job!

  Well until we know what you are trying to do, it is hard to give you advice.
  
  As for real estate and wordpress, There is a Genesis theme developer that has the coding to plugin into the MLS listing already so for 99 bucks you can have the hard part finished up.

use thesis. a freelancer could work as well, but sometimes it's hard to communicate your exact vision to the freelancer

If you don't know wordpress that well getting an expert will save you soo much time! Would you rather have your site open in months because of learning or weeks because the person who is doing the work already knows?

  To save time, an outsourcer is your best alternative. If time is not a factor, then you should at least become more familiar with setting up sites with wordpress.
