Do you think that Premium UK directories are still good?

I still own some very very good premium directories based in UK. They all have very good PR: 5,4 etc. And they all have very good Alexa Rank. Many people say that directories today is not a best way of promotion.

But I still get many and many submissions.

What do you think about such directories? I'm not telling about spam and rubbish directories. My directories are UK and very high quality with good content.

    My personal thoughts are that directories are not that profitable way of promotion as they were few years ago.
    The submissions you get are probably from people in the hope of SEO rankings.

    If you have PR4 & 5 directories, you can make money from it.
    Probably by renting backlinks to other websites. Backlinks on High PR directories / blogs/ sites are well paid.
    You can probably check WSO / Warriors for Hire Section and see how others with High PR sites are making business.
