Product Sales Benchmarks

I have an easy question for affiliate marketers that have been working with ClickBank products.

What I would like to know is, how many hops will you allow without a sale before you stop marketing a specific product?

I'm working on my first campaign and have had a little over 60 hops in the last couple weeks with no sales. Since I'm just getting going, I'm certainly not ready to throw in the towel yet but I don't have any idea how long to keep promoting something if it's not converting.

I do appreciate your input as I was unable to find information about benchmarks and the like.

Thanks,
Tom

    Nice question Tom.

To be honest, a great mentality is to keep going UNTIL you make it profitable. Elaborated this means you have to test and test and test to find what works. Once you find what works you literally put in more money or time and it's pure profit.

But in direct answer to your question, some "gurus" say 100 hops is a good test. Yet, at the end of the day if you're getting more money out than you're putting in - that is all that matters. Then, clean the campaign up to maximise profits.

You really will have to test. How are you running the campaign? Your keyword MAY be too competitive.

    Let me know,

    Mike
