That breakthru moment
Mine came after dabbling for a couple of years in anything that got my attention. All too often theses were magic buttons or business in a box type things. I guess that is a road that many of us take.
Then one day I invested in some mentoring and that gave me a foundation to work with, but still I was inclined to get pulled away from my main plan and lose focus.
My real breakthru moment came when I stepped back and looked at my offline businesses I had run in the past. Never did I try and be everything to all within a business. I had a secretary, I had ground floor staff, I had advertising campaigns, I had an accountant. You get what I mean.
Why was I not treating my new venture online in exactly the same way. So I guess my real breakthrough moment was realizing that it had to be treated like a business and not a hobby.
Once I was in that mindset things began to fall in place and I began to work on the parts of the business that would drive it forward. I have had a few ups and downs since then, and even changed the whole business model once but I have never really looked back.
These days I am email marketing to subscriber bases, building connections and coaching others. I do have a small passive income from Kindle too.
Often it is best to keep to the basics.
