so after much debate with myself over the various projects I have launched and failed at, I have decided to back up and start with basics. Create a presell blog, collect emails and gently suggest affiliate offers along with a ton of free info and gifts. sounds good? I know it works because I have fallen for it and continue to day to day. Actually I have received a ton of useful stuff from marketers in such emails so I know its a righteous path. I need to know the best free tutorial to setting this up. for instance, blogger, wordpress or website with blog installed? I am familiar with blogger but hear that wordpress is the way to go. Not familiar with wordpress installed on a website. I have Aweber and am comfortable with their training videos and believe I can install their html code onto a blog. As far as being simple and just creating a 1 page squeeze page with a gift, what are your suggestions on how to accomplish this? I have hosting for other sites so i can use add on domains i guess, just need some guidance. Thanks again warriors for your help I love you all!

I would reccomend WP. A ton of people out there that can help with it, and there are great plugins that you can use that create an optin. I use Optinpop. They have free and paid version, I use the paid version.

One thing I would add, and I have to say I suffered from, is the "bright shiny object" syndrome. Don't allow yourself to get distracted, research/pick a project, and COMPLETE it! That one thing alone will give you more satisfaction than you realize.

    Good Luck!

    Cheers!

I am really interested in this thread. I don't know of any free tutorials out there on this subject yet. I'm sure you can find some great stuff in the WSOs. I just finished the book by Ewen Chia called How I Made My First Million on the Internet. The entire book is about setting up mailing lists, squeeze pages, autoresponders, etc. It was actually a really great book filled with tons of information. It made me want to focus on the mailing list path as well. I highly recommend that book if you're planning on taking that path. It's like $12 at Amazon.
