What Produces the Best Return for Time Invested? Thoughts?

There are a lot of ways to make money on the web, but all of them take an investment in time. What produces the best return (money) for amount of time invested (hours)?

Is it list building, product creation, Facebook ads, something else?

I put together a list of hundreds of ways to make money online, but I would like to now provide some ranking of the best ones to spend your time on.

Your thoughts?

IMO, selling a web service to small businesses offline. You can charge thousands monthly for something you spend very little time on, or outsource entirely.

I'm sure you'll get back a variety of responses. It really depends on the individual person and how much success they've personally had with a particular strategy. For me, it's Kindle books. But I'm sure others would say product creation or Facebook.

      Hi whyguy,

Question is... what's the topic that "attracts" you more?

The make money online niche has many different branches/subniches, what would you like to start with?

Here's another thing to keep in mind... "facebook ads" and "list building" are not business opps in themselves, they are MARKETING ACTIVITIES, correlated in a way or another. List building is a crucial aspect of marketing and you better start creating your lists now.

      You can make money in three ways;

-Product creation(you create your own products, guides, ebooks, reports, video products, software, plugins etc, etc)
-as an Affiliate, becoming an affiliate of a product and get a commission per sale
-Offering services, freelancing, selling graphics, consulting, coaching etc.

Honestly, how can i tell you which one produces the best money for amount of time invested?

You are worrying on something irrelevant.

Now, pickup one of those three and start your journey.

      Good luck

Develop a comprehensive marketing approach that is right for your business.
Devid has pointed out some really good ways to monetize. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you deliver a great customer experience (loads of value / perceived value )

I think it just depends on the person and what works for you. The key is that your doing 'something'. Many people tend to be lazy (including myself). Staying focused (avoiding information overload) and being dedicated are key no matter what you do...

For me, it's Kindle Books. Once you get a system in place, you can really crank the books out. There are some really good Kindle training programs available here too.

The money was in the list in the early 90's. Today, guess where it steal is? THE LIST. There is no substitute for building REAL relationships with real people on the other end.

Definitely the list. Build up your Know, Like, and Trust factor with your list (and social media accounts) and you will see great results... if you do it right, of course.

List building produces the worst ROI. Email marketing is dying.

For us, it has been Product Creation in concert with automated sales funnel with various traffic generation methods including content/seo, affiliates and social.

Good news about this model is that 90% is created once, then you drive traffic and tweak to improve your ROI in maintenance mode.

In my opinion list building and product creation done correctly will give you the best return for your time. I'm saying this because your efforts can result in a passive income.

I find that if I'm looking for a quick return (and if I already have a product to sell) posting on a marketplace is best. If you have a digital product, you'd want to go for clickbank, pay.com etc, if you have app, go to the app store or google play, if you have a physical product, Ebay or Amazon. This is a great method since you don't need to set up a whole system and drive traffic to get sales- it's "built in" to a lot of these sites! From there, building a list around your product/niche is a great way to sustain the business!
