Selling a Downloadable Exercise Program?

I know this isn't a forum full of Lawyers and I'm definitely not seeking legal advice, but to the best of your knowledge:

If you were to be selling your own exercise routine online that involves the user downloading it and following it in a gym or at home, what legal issues might you run into such as needing a certain type of insurance or other.

    No attorney here, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express recently...

    I'm pretty confident you do not need insurance for that. But you should CYA with appropriate legal disclaimers. You probably should use non-generic legal disclaimers. Chances are good they will not cover or include all that needs to be there.

    No idea what other legal issues you may run into. May be a good idea to talk to a real attorney. There is a long-time WF member who is an attorney, and he sells legal disclaimers as well. His username is kindsvater.

    If its all about exercise and don't have any high risk of accident due to improper balance or something, I'm sure you don't need insurance. As long as you are not recommending some sub-standard supplements and medicines, I believe you are safe. Just put legal disclaimer on your site.

    I agree with the above about including a legal disclaimer, but would also include something along the lines of:
    'Always consult your physician before starting any fitness or exercise program'. That's a lot more specific to your program. And it comes with the introductory literature of many popular fitness programs.
