Making use of affiliate discount

Hi all.

I run a website that is basically an information portal for a well know London building, there is a paid for viewing attraction in this building that sells tickets and I am trying to monetise through affiliate links to these tickets.

I joined an affiliate scheme for a fairly respectable company who sell tickets for visitor attractions, days out and activities etc...

The affiliate has given me an exclusive promo code that reduces the price of almost any product by 10%, unfortunately this does not include the building that my website is mostly about. It does include 10% of very popular attractions like the London eye, Cruise down the river Thames etc...

Whilst I will still offer the promo on my website I don't think it will convert well there, so I feel this 10% offer could be better utilised, but how should I go about it?

Should I create a new website with a single splash page and try and rank for 'London attraction discound codes' or something similar, or would that take a long time?

Any suggestions would be helpful

I don't see that promoting other attractions from a site like this would be a problem.

Tourists are in town to see everything they can. And London is certainly full of stuff to see.

Just have the attitude that you are helping fulfill that desire - "while you're in town here are some other great attractions."

You may want to build a site to do more pre-selling and push traffic from your main site, or you may want to just add a section of 'other things to see' to your present site.
