Earn $1000 your first week earn $5000 in a month and earn $50,000...

What do you guys say about all the offers people make? It would be nice to earn the above (or even half that) and some people must do it. I'm just interested in your thoughts. Is it true? What are the factors involved? I'm not asking from a 'newbie with money in their eyes' point of view. But that's just what would be 'ideal.' I'ts just that I must have seen 1000 offers like this since i've been learning, some of them must be realistic....? And if they are theN why hasn't a site been made full of tried and tested high profit (making money online) products.

Thanks for your time.

If something sounds too good to be true then it usually is.

That headline says scam to me.

There are plenty of review sites where the owners claim to be reviewing the best internet products or businesses but as they are usually full of affiliate links I wouldn't trust them.

You will get the best info on forums like this.

Ignore those offers. 99% of the products that promise you a specific income are fakes or really low quality stuff.

There's a lot of good free information. Not saying you should never buy a product, but buy the ones that are reviewed positively right here in this forum.

Hi Jell, welcome to the forum

Those offers are just trying to play on greed. Some of them talk about the amount of money that they make (and it's unlikely you'll make as much as them), some of them just plain lie.

Anything like that, I always assume is a scam. There is lots of information on these forums that you can get for free, and lots more that you can get for a knockdown price with a WSO, and to be perfectly honest, if you can't find a way of making money with all the advice that gets thrown around on these forums, then you're probably in the wrong line of work.

Keep on learning, keep on being patient, and you'll get there without giving any money to scammers.

    Good luck

50k in the first year is not really 'get rich quick', nor does it need to be a lot of hard work. I came pretty darn close to it last year with a half assed effort as an affiliate.
I am not joking when I say half-assed - I've gone months w/o doing anything other then logging onto CB, aweber and google.

Frankly, I think people who assume this level of 'success' is hard to obtain, or is a scam, is likely:
      a) going to pursue business models that require a ton of labor with very little return ("everything else is a scam")
      b) setting themself up to make very little money

I think the right mind set really is crucial. I fully expected to make at least a few grand a month on the side with this, and that's what I got.

I think that just about any amount of income is possible given that you put enough effort into your business. However, if you want to build a full time income for yourself then you need to be willing to put in the work as well as have a lot of patience.

You aren't going to see thousands of dollars within your first week. It just won't happen. Creating that type of income requires a whole lot more than just a week.

I think the get rich quick scheme has been dumped down the toilet. Most people don't believe in that. Sure, people will check it out, but success takes: time, trial and error and most importantly self development.

Those headlines do prey on peoples' greed and, in some cases, desperation. Is it true? Probably, but here's the kicker: those figures quoted may very well be gross income as opposed to net income.

It's quite easy (and legal...as I understand it, but IANAL) to say that a product earned a marketer $1000 its first week and neglect to mention that it cost him $999 to do it. LOL

So, when looking at offers such as those, it's important to look at all the factors which would be involved, do your due diligence, and above all else, question what the overhead for earning such an income would be.

It's very sad that the constant reiteration of instant wealth has diminished the trust that people have in product promotors.

I have never made any claims for specific results but nobody who has put my own system into use for three hours a day, five days a week has failed to make a minimum of €500.

Does anybody believe me? Of course not - they automatically lump me in with the cheats and liars. There are other programmes available that can also return these sorts of figures but they, also, are not trusted.

Well . . . . it's very difficult to pick out a white and black zebra from a herd of black and white ones, isn't it?

I agree most of those headlines are scams. I also agree with the one that was talking about review sites. I agree with that fully since I my self have a review site that I only add in clickbank products so he is correct they are affiliate of some type. I am also affiliated with a debt relief company that I made a review site for saying how good they are. How ever I myself have never used any debt relief company so my review for them can not be counted as a good review. Or for that matter a review at all but a straight pitch to sell there product which makes me money. I do know that there are ways to make the amount of money those headlines claim using only adsense. Which cost no one anything but the ones running adwords campaigns. I only post to article sites like hubpages where I can use my adsense id to make me money off those articles. In turn my articles then all point to a blog that also has adsense ads on it. I also have amozon ads on my blogs and on the articles I write for hub pages. So it is possible to make the money those headlines claim. You just have to be smart about it. Now say that I couldnt get them to buy any of the amazon products or click the adsense links on my articles but they did choose to go to my blog for more info. I now have a second chance at it. Not only that on my blog post I will place a ad every say 8th post for a click bank product pertaining to my keywords to my blog.

I could create a headline just like those you are talking about...

In fact, I can show you an account with earnings of $8,000/week for
3 straight weeks and say..."Earn $25k+ in 3 weeks and I can show
it, but...and its a BIG but... (I assume many marketers do this)

If I show you my $7,500 spending in PPC then you'll be like...its
actually $500 a week of net profit.

So, I think many of these headlines are true in a way, but they never
tell you how much did they spend to do that kind of money in the
    time frame they specified.

This is just my thoughts, although, many others do earn huge amounts
of money in a very small time frame. Weather you do it or not, it all
depends on how much time you've been doing it or how much you are
spending to get a return on it.

Some of the information is legitimate, and some of it actually does work. However, the key is to actually do it, which many people don't, as well as timing, and a bit of luck. Furthermore, some courses/products/etc 'presuppose' a certain level of knowledge, i.e., in one sentence a course might say "Create a website, add an autoresponder, article market 10 articles and add your product to clickbank". If you have never created a website, nor know what an autoresponder is, what article marketing is, or even what clickbank is, then you will have an extremely high learning curve, or just not be able to act on the knowledge.

At the moment (right before I am writing this) -- I am actually reviewing a few (info) products, and some of the 'claims' (one in particular at the moment which is about $100k/month), seem legitimate -- but requires an incredible amount of infrastructure to set up correctly.

Another thing is that -- while many marketers may indeed be making say $30k/month, $50k/month, etc, etc -- the market is constantly changing. So what worked 5 years ago may not necessarily work now. For example, one thing that was popular in 2001-2004 was sticking "affiliate" links in google PPC ads. And some people made a killing do that. However, nowadays "everyone" knows about that, and the PPC landscape has changed significantly, such that if you were to buy say an e-book and implement that strategy now, chances are you would find it exceptionally difficult to succeed with it. (Plus recently I think last year google actually starting dropping "affiliate" PPC links).

So... the key is basically to start trying out various ideas, implementing them, if something works for you, do more of it, reinvest in your business, and grow. While you might get "lucky" and strike it rich so to speak, it does require "work", and will most likely take some time. Many successful "businessmen"/"markerters", etc, etc -- tried a whole bunch of different ideas until they came upon something that 'worked'.

    Scam= a dishonest scheme; a fraud

Now, on a personal basis, just because something did not
work for me is not a scam, as many others might see it.

    "Ohhh!!! This %$#@ product is a scam"...well, i don't believe this

Many products out there are not scams but some are.

Now, if it works for you is no scam, but if it does not then it is?

I believe most products are not scams, because in theory you are
buying a product (weather it helps you or not) you get the product.
Now, if you bought a product and never received it, then that is
    something like a scam.

Of course this is my own opinion, but this is what I believe in.

Artwebster that's what i think. There must be good systems out there but because theres no way of telling between the two, people put 90% of them in the 'con' category.

Jason you nailed it. That's what I have been hoping for. I agree that it's possible but it doesn't happen for everyone (for a number of reasons) especially your reasons.

mbaker417 i would say there is a lot of bad quality products out there. And that a lot of people have chosen the 'long route' and when they are eventually successful they teach that it's the only way. Also because some products didn't work for them, they categorize 90% of them as 'scams.'
People fail for a number of reasons either through the fault of their own or because of bad quality products. If it doesn't work for someone it 'must be a scam' Personally I associate scam with being conned, (which does happen)

Thanks for everyones oppinions and time.

It is not easy to find them but they are there somewhere.
That's why I keep buying those offers cause you don't know till you buy them and try them.
I probably bought dozen ebooks and scripts in last 9-10 days between Warrior and Digital Point Forums.

People certainly have done this but they're the exception for a couple of reasons:

          # Usually it involves someone who just works their arse off AND already has some kind of skill. Working your arse off and getting way outside your comfort zone is the most important thing though.

The reason most people aren't making money is because they keep trying to bargain the price of success...I'll do this but not that...instead of simply doing what it takes right from the start.

It's a waste of time to buy any proven system then only do part of it.

Do everything and you at least have a chance of getting the results that other people have got.

          # Unfortunately there are quite a few scams and exaggerated sales letters out there.

The legitimate products where you can make this kind of money usually involve you giving genuine value to someone.

If it's some cheap trick or loophole chances are it won't work or even if it does it won't keep on working.

If you're genuinely serious about making an income then you need to put in a serious committment.

          Look at it this way.

If you started a job with a monthly salary you would expect to work for a full month before getting paid a cent.

And you'd also expect to do EVERYTHING that job requires without reservation.

If you had to call clients as part of the job you'd do it.

If you had to see them in person you'd do it.

If you had to answer emails you'd do that too.

And if you had to get a professional looking web page online as part of your job...you'd get it done.

Do that in your own business and you're going to do pretty well.

          Kindest regards,
          Andrew Cavanagh

    Absolutely Andrew!

As far as the scams, read the disclaimers. They usually say "results may vary and these are not typical."

The truth is, not everyone is going to be successful at every strategy and tactic. This depends on the person's skills, talents and abilities.

The person with that success story may have totally different abilities than the average person.

The real key here is to be persistent. I like the phrase "persistent daily action is the key."

If you are persistent, you'll find the right system that matches your abilities and talents.

    Enjoy!

Actually, Using high income numbers is just one method of finding top producers.

A top producers does not reply to offers of $50 a day.

The slip up comes in the qualifying process, which many sites leave that step to the individual them selves.

Imagine that you are comfortable with $5000 a month income, and to you 80K isn't all that much money. (you already know that going from 60K to 80K isn't that big of step with the right tools and information)

When you have the attitude of, this is right for me, and follow through with each step as specified. (many try to reinvent the system before understanding the components of the system presented)

I would NEVER hire a sales person who was happy at earning $50 a day.

But I would be HAPPY to hire a sales person willing to have a few $50 days on their way to $500 a day.

I find it very interesting that most of the people who have responded with "it's a scam" seem to be ones who are very new here. While newness to the WF doesn't mean much in and of itself, the tenor of replies shows a distinct lack of belief that marketing on the internet can work, and provides a good example of how important the mindset is to success in general, and IM in particular.

In the overall scheme of things internet, $1K/wk, $5K/mo, $60K/yr is not an outlandish claim. It's probably on the low end of the income scale of marketers who are actually building their businesses.

I have YET to fail to learn at least a tidbit or two from any IM info product I've purchased or reviewed. Yeah, a lot of it covers the same basic information - we're not inventing the wheel here - but each product puts a unique twist on at least some aspect of marketing. The little kernel of knowledge you glean could be something as simple as 'now I know how NOT to write an info product'.

    Andrew's nugget bears repeating:
The reason most people aren't making money is because they keep trying to bargain the price of success...I'll do this but not that...instead of simply doing what it takes right from the start.
It's all in the attitude, people. I really like what Mark Riddle said:
I would NEVER hire a sales person who was happy at earning $50 a day.

But I would be HAPPY to hire a sales person willing to have a few $50 days on their way to $500 a day.
If you KNOW you're going to make it, then getting there is a fun journey. If you doubt yourself, if you spend time bouncing from one system to the next, without a solid plan, your trip is going to be pure hell - and you definitely won't get to where you wish you would be.
