15 order form server calls on Clickbank product, no sales yet.

Hi guys,

I started promoting this particular Clickbank product about 2-3 days ago. In that time I can see 15 order form server calls (270 order form impressions). As far as I understand it, these are people that have actually gone ahead and tried to make a payment. I find it extremely odd that out of 15 people wanting to pay not one got through (all from the US). Clickbank says there is nothing wrong. Has someone else had any similar experiences here? I don't use Clickbank much.

    People that click through to the order form do not necessarily intend to make a payment. You have to ask yourself the question as to whether you have ever clicked through to an order form, knowing that you were not intending to make the purchase? Others simply click through and change their mind. Last but not least, there's nothing "odd" about only 15 people on an order form but no purchase. Some products have a few hundred folks looking at an order form before one purchases. It all depends on many things.

      These are 15 "order form server calls", not "order form impressions". You are talking about "order form impressions" of which I have had nearly 300.

    Sometimes after filling out all the info, the customer's credit card may be declined, or the card was reported stolen. Sometimes declines happen with international card processing partners.
    Sometimes due to insufficient funds in their PayPal account. I have also personally tried to place an order for something, and the order form doesn't seem to work. In that case I rarely try to reorder again right away, just in case the payment did go through. This and many other reasons could explain order form server calls without a sale.

      What I find strange is that there are so many... 17 now... and not 1 time it has worked. I would understand if half of them didn't go through (and that's still high). Everyone I ask says there is no issue. I guess I came here to find out if anyone else has had the same experience with Clickbank. Maybe those sales will come through later... not sure... I want to know if there's any point to keep promoting or not. Or should I focus my traffic somewhere else... All the research I have done tells me this product should work, and it should be converting, but if the user can't pay for it, then not much point.

        In the end, it all comes down to calculating whether your time, effort and expenses to promote this product are bringing a return on your investment plus profit or not. So far it does not appear to be the case, however, you never know, you may get some sales come through. Therefore it's up to you to decide whether to quit on this product, or not just yet.

    My stats are even worse than yours. I have 270 hops - only 27 hops per order from impressions - 9 order form impression counts - only 2 order form server calls - and 0 sales ...so only 1 out of 10 hops actually reach the order form, 1 out of 3 of those reach the CB order form impression, and only ~1 out of 5 of those actually went through with the payment(order form server calls)... still 0 sales. From all the info I have read about CB in particular, there's no exact science to getting sales. Most ppl say it could be several reasons so I guess the best way to get sales is to have someone work with you individually step-by-step since there's no one solution.

      Things have been hinky at best with Clickbank lately, IMHO. I've seen a huge drop in sales, hops etc. I have put in 2 tickets with CB and told that analytics were being worked on (which I knew) but things haven't been right in a couple of weeks for me.

      I also talked to a vendor who said that sales had been sucking for him too and a friend of his, who is also a vendor of a top selling product, has seen a 60% drop in sales. His comment to me was "I hope they figure this out soon" so it's not just me and you.
