I've tried to put a subtle link my signature on 3 different forums and each have taken them off advising me that they don't allow external links or advertising on their sites. I don't suppose anyone has a solution?

    1. Find other forums that do allow signature links.
    2. See if the forum will let you pay to advertise.

Can't think of any other options.

I'd advise reading the forum rules regarding signatures and advertising before you start.

If you are actually a valuable member of the forums you mention, perhaps you could find a way to subtly make those referrals in the body of your posts.

Look for forums that allows signature links.
Be sure to read the rules on every forum to see what's allowed and what's not..

Always read the TOS of the forum before you post a signature. Then you'll know you're acting within their guidelines. If you're not happy with their rules -- find a different forum.

Yes it is true that many forum will not allow you any affiliate links or self-advertising external links from their site. Many will however allow you to do so once they feel you've given something to the community first. And as already mentioned a lot of forums will allow you to pay for an advertisement or a sponsor ad.

Sometimes depending upon the forum you can have some play with your username. For example instead of calling yourself markbowden1 you might be able to use the name of one of your products or one of your domain names 'without' the .com

I've read in several posts here on warrior where they write "see my signature" but there's nothing there.
Have their sig been removed and they haven't noticed?

Forum signatures should be more about you. If your looking for back links, there is many other ways to get them.

The best way with forums is to be helpful and genuine. People will trust you and then you can probably add a link in your post when the time is right. Showing people what you are doing. Thats how you will get the best targeted traffic from a forum.

Dont spam. Very hard to get that trust back...
