Poll: Who is Actually Making Money?

It took me 4 years to actually start making money online. I'm curious how many people on the WF are actually making money and how many people are just getting started or are still looking for something to really replace their income.

You don't have to say exactly how much you're making but which category are you currently in? (These are profits not revenues by the way.)

Levels:
1. Just starting out: $0 - $100 monthly Not making any money online yet.
2. Making some here and there: $101 - $300 monthly.
3. Doing Well but not quite there yet: $301 - $1,000 a monthly
4. Replaced my 9-5 Income: $1,001 - $4,000 monthly
5. It's Paying off Big Time: $4,000-$8,000 monthly
6. CRUSHING IT: Over $8,000 profit per month.

For me personally I was in levels 1-3 for a bunch of years and it wasn't until July 2013 that I reached level 4. Now I currently bounce between levels 4 and 5 depending on my eCommerce sales for the month and what i'm working on.

Where is everyone currently at?

For profit Im in number 4-5 (depends on the month). By the way it took me like a month to start making money online. I was litterly making money from the start and there is no reason other people cant as well. Im also sure I can make much more if I chose to but for me the reward is not the money (Im not a materialistic person) for me its time freedom. I play with my son when I want. I work when I want. I ride my bike when I want. I do nothing when I want.

I was between 1 - 4 for what seemed like an eternity then when i transferred to university things sort of clicked. Currently at level 6 BUT it was never easy. The concepts were simple, the motivation was high and fluctuated at times, but it was a ton of hard freakin work and sleepless nights.

I went so far as to think I would be stuck at level 3 forever (my most depressed and frustrating stage, though i was making $$) while i did SEO and everything felt like an uphill battle. Now I'm list building and level 4 and onward sort of popped into place.

It feels nice now (though money brings it's own set of challenges) but I am one of very few people at my school that i know of that has more than a full time income online.

For the past 3 months I have been in the level 4 area, I started when I was 16 years old so it took about 2 years for me to get where I am at today.

Level 5. Some months I go into Level 6

Started off in 2007 with Adwords and Clickbank offers. That died in 2009 when Google started canning Clickbank affiliate's Adwords accounts.

Already saw the writing on the wall and began email marketing.

Have been doing that ever since.

This happened to *A LOT* of people when google started cracking down hard. I remember it vividly. It was right after the **** berry craze and the government really came down hard on google for "false advertising practices". In turn, google then put affiliates in a bad situation and started shutting them down left and right.

Most of my clients literally disappeared overnight.

Glad you could find something sustainable. I know most people gave up and left the industry at this point and went back to their 9-5s.

6 fortunately. Am grateful every day. Took a while though. Google Penguin knocked me down for a bit (rough days), but rebounded by tweaking strategy going more social.

It's super interesting to hear who is making money doing what. For me here was the breakdown.

When I was focusing on blogging, content writing and affiliate marketing I was at Level 1 and Level 2.

I got to Level 3 when I got into eBook and Kindle Publishing.

To finally broke into Level 4 and Replaced My 9-5 income when I got into eCommerce and Dropshipping.

Right now I'm focusing on how to sustainably stay in Level 5 and start really Crushing it. I know that I can dip into it with affiliate marketing, or making a course but I want something more sustainable. My goal is to continue to start another eCommerce store in another niche and have 2014 be a true Level 5 year.

Aside from what Level you're currently at, what business model got you there and how do you plan on getting to the next level?

finished uni and decided to go full time IM (but wanting it to be as automated an income as possible), reached level 5 within around 3 months and continued at that for the next 10 or so months to where i am now.

i lost all motivation to do any work and enjoy having loads of free time. feel like the only thing that will get me going again is if this stops working. hate being lazy.

You should add 7,8,9, and 10 because 6 really isn't all that much money.

With a wife and 4 kids carrying a mortgage on Long Island, if all I made was $8K, we'd all be living at home with my mommy.

I guess it's all relative depending on where you live

It's great to hear there there are guys on the WF making over $8,000 a month in profit. For me I'm living in Chiang Mai, Thailand where rent is less than a grand a month even for the nicest house, and anything over $8k would definitely be crushing it.

It really is all dependant on location, as I know if I did my eCommerce stores full time from the U.S. I would be at level 6 and Crushing it. But then again I would be working 40 hours a week, dealing with winters, expensive rent, and the stress of everyday life at home. Here it's kind of like a year long vacation, working at co-working spaces, meeting travelers, spending the weekend at a waterfall.

But sometimes I think, maybe it would be worth moving back to the U.S. just for a year or so and building my business up to six figures instead of settling for $5k a month. But then again, I remember why I started doing this in the first place and it was so I could be location independent.

Here's another question for everyone, would you be happy sitting at level 3-5 and living the 4-hour workweek or would you rather be at level 6+ but back at home?

I interpreted level 6 to mean anything over $8000 a month. I didnt see a use for him to be extra nosy because numbers can go into infinity. You are right though for some $8000 a month isnt money.

Yes. That is very true, No 6 isn't a great money. Most people would prefer to go far from that level. My target at the moment is to make at least $20000 per month though I am still far from it but I hope one day my dream will come true.

I started out at level one for a year. Then, I never really understood what internet marketing really was all about.

Within a month of joining the WF, I was at level 2. In two months, I was (and still am) at level 3.

However, I'm more than satisfied, as in my country, $1000 a month is quite enough for a comfortable lifestyle plus quite a bit for the savings account. The advantages of the 3rd world .

I will probably break into the 4th level within the next few months, but only time will tell.

First year I was at level 1. 2nd year level 2. 3rd year went through level 3 and into level 4, which is where I'm at now. I have a "real" job that I like and work about four hours a day at, so IM is just extra money doing something different. But, nice to have the extra money, and to know that I have the skills to increase that if I want to do so.

I'm at number 3. But I also care for my son full time, which limits how much time per day I can spend on my various ventures. But he's getting older and more independent, so I'm hoping to really step things up this year.

I would never divulge my income . . . it's nobody's business but my own.

When push comes to shove, learning what other people make is both suspect and useless information.

It's suspect because anyone can say anything whether truthful or not. I read recently the results of a site survey: that 64 percent of people in one large social media site admitted they "often lie" when posting to that site. I'm not saying Warrior Forum members are the same; but what verification do you have that the poster is telling the truth? None.

It's useless information because what someone else does in his/her business has absolutely no bearing on what you can or will do in your own business. Every business owner is different; every business is unique.

I would suggest you don't worry about other people and just get down to (very literally) minding your own business.

I wish all of you the very best!
