If you have a list, email them.

If not try PPC traffic... but be careful to not spend more $ per sale than you make.

Also make sure your copy is good.

It's *okay* if this happens on the frontend. His backend is where he will recoup his investment, and make most of his profits from. This can happen quickly - assuming the rate at which he receives a new customer, his price, and how many backend products that he has to offer.

i dont recommend direct traffic to any affiliate product. have them filter through a squeeze page 1st, giving something out for free. And once they subscribe hit them with a "wait there's more page" and presell what ever you are promoting there. If they dont buy it then have your autoresonder follow up promoting it 2-3 times.

if your free offer is an ebook, you can also promote the affiliate product there.

its important to consider the how relevant your squeeze page offer is to your presell page

The easiest way for me is to create YouTube videos about the products and then link them to it in the description. Been making quite a bit this way for a while now.

Best of luck in whatever you do though.

Some say that promoting clickbank through youtube is saturated, but youtube is pretty frakken huge lol. I still get random sales from old videos I've done months and years ago, so it can also be seen as long term traffic source if you have all your ducks lined up (quality videos, minimal reason to flag your videos, relatively unexplored niches etc).

Promoting to a list is likely to be the most targeted way since you have a relationship with your subscribers.

My preferred method is what i have dubbed the 'brute force way'. Build a niche site around the product(s) and write a ton of quality content. Promote via youtube and other evergreen outlets to get some traffic going. If your articles are good enough you might also be looking at some quality article syndication as well.

The side effect of all that will be some organic search engine rankings which have been a nice portion of my own income for my authority niche sites.

Please remember that clickbank products are more of a numbers game when not promoting to a list. I aim for 100 - 150 hops daily minimum for 2 - 3 sales per site. That's an average though, some days have no sales and those occur sporadically throughout the month.

I like this method because it's a nice example of the snowball effect. Once momentum is gained there are several outlets of traffic feeding one site. And of course it only gets better as time goes on, more content is added, and the site ranks for more keywords.

For me this is the easiest way to promote clickbank because it becomes almost entirely passive after a while. I can outsource the articles since I'm making $70 - $120 per day on the site, or if i get inspired I become the writer.

As a note, I do not consider the traffic sources like youtube to be a "backlink" to my site. That's like the side effect of getting targeted traffic from huge traffic sources (i use several different sources for traffic). The SEO effect is entirely secondary to getting the traffic which should ideally come from sources will lots of lots and eye balls searching for stuff.

    Hi Ammad,

What are you doing right now to promote your clickbank product?

As mentioned already, I'd recommend that you direct all traffic to a squeeze page and then set up a relationship-building, high-converting email sequence.

Drive traffic to your squeeze page via Youtube videos, your own blog, podcasts, and Kindle reports.

I use all these strategies because they send high-quality leads and for years to come.

I would use the search and see how others are promoting. You'll get more ideas this way. However, the easiest way to get going - as someone has suggested - is probably video marketing.

I agree as far as Youtube goes... Create a few videos and then optimize them for search engine rankings to bring in targeted long term traffic. More videos will lead to more traffic and then eventually sales if setup correctly. Even though there may be a ton of competition it doesn't matter because the information will be coming from you and your following will appreciate you for sharing and will be eager to see what you recommend next.

If you have a good email capture page, using PPC can work. It's targeted and you can follow up with emails.

That's pretty easy, but just be careful about how much you spend.

you can use anything but the key is keyword research....if you optimize your videos, sites, articles, etc to rank for low competition keywords.....you will make money..............
    example:
instead of going after weight loss keyword (very..very..very competitive)
go after lose weight on back or something like that....obsecure and ultra low competition. if you do not like to do keyword research, go to fiverr and someone will do it for you.

I have a question here.... The YouTube video promotion for CB products seems rather easy, but couldn't this work for all products? CPA offers?

I'm just wondering why a click bank product would differ. Also, do you do a "review" video of the product? I know you can't divulge your exact method, but As a newbie, I'm eager to learn as much as possible.

From my experience, not quite lol

You really need a strong relationship with your list for them to follow along to buy a clickbank product.

One of the best ways that I have found for getting my subscribers to buy something is to offer them a bonus guide or pdf that shows how i would personally make bank with that particular course or method. This way my expertise is mixed in with the affiliate offer and there's no way it can be said that I'm blindly promoting as a JV.

I've gotten a lot of sales and people wanting more simply through doing this. It does take more work; as in you actually have to buy or get the offer somehow, read through it and come up with your own spin so that someone with little to no experience can use it.

I don't promote crap to my list anyway, but that's how i maximize my return if i know an affiliate product is really strong. I have even had products with horrible sales pages (affiliate products, not my products mind you ) convert over 70% because my subscribers know i am going to show them how to use it to maximize their efforts.

ANYWAY lol...back to the point. Promoting clickbank products through solo ads will likely convert at less than 1%, so you might need a 200+ click solo from a really strong seller who has an amazing relationship with their list to get any traction.

Additionally, however, you might not make much $$ from this - as in profit anyway. Let's say you get 2 sales from a 200 click solo and each of those sales was $37ish (1% conversion, being generous with stats here) so you make $74. That 200 click solo from a provider of any value whatsoever will likely run you $80 - 100 maybe more. So you don't break even (cost of solo - amount made from sales) but you might get a few subscribers in the process.

My whole point here is that clickbank products likely WILL NOT convert well on a single solo ad unless you're leveraging the list of a seriously good marketer. But knowing the solo ad market nowadays you'll be hard pressed to find that quality provider :p

When it comes to affiliate markerting. Review sites are always the best. Same with Youtube.

If you are going for paid traffic, don't do direct linking. You ALWAYS want to use a squeeze page first, build relationship then sell them.

Rather than thinking about how to "Make" them sign up. You should ask, what do they "Need" and offer that for free.

A typical example of this is just a free eBook. Believe it or not, it still works like wonders.

The list building method makes the most sense for long range business building. Using solo ads to help build your list will help as well. There are some reputable solo ad providers here on WF. With a decent list in that niche you will be able to market other items to them later.

There isn't just one way to way to promote Clickbank products, or any product in general... But ask yourself what are your goals here. Some limited quick bucks or a long term and sustainable business?...

If your answer is a real long term business, then ANYTHING you do should first go through building your list of targeted subscribers. This way you can go back to those interested prospects again and again, while other methods offer you just one opportunity to sell or promote.

Having you own list is THE most valuable asset in your online business, and the most effective way to get your Clickbank affiliate sales. With extremely rare exceptions, anybody telling you otherwise is not making that much money online.

My advice is before spending anything on promoting a CB product , do some market research. See if the topic of your CB product sells well in book or Kindle form on Amazon. If there are several titles addressing the topic then you may have a reasonable market. A good place to check is the "Dummies" series. They carefully research and if they have a publication on your topic that is good indication.
If the research indicates a positive trend , create a general , not product specific FaceBook fan page. Invest some in advertising your fan page within FaceBook and use a free download to get persons to opt in. Market to your list.
Always in one way or another incorporate list building into affiliate sales efforts. Simply promoting a CB product via pay per click is more likely to drain your bank account than anything else.

With my experience you can make a sale with any traffic source you just need the proper.... Follow up ... First off always always always capture the lead ( email address ) . Your paying for this traffic miles well get the most out of it. Plus 90% of people don't by something the first time they see it. So your conversion rate is drastically reduced. You can get an account with getresponse they offer landi pages as well. Don't get me wrong you can make sales with the right keywords but that takes a lot of money to run those case studies.

Just remember you make the most money on the back end ......... Show them value ...... With a free plr ebook ... And develop a relation ship them start selling stuff

    I hope this helps

The model of squeeze page > opt-in > sell > auto-responders > needs to change. I've recently discovered the amazing power of "segmenting" from the opt-in and no longer have to rely on 10, 15, 20 email auto-responder sequences before seeing sales.

Even though someone might be opting-in to your giveaway, they could have 10-15 different reasons for doing so. Segment them from the opt-in with a single survey-like question and then target your sales approach to each specific sub-group and your conversion rates go up big.

This is why it's becoming increasingly important to use more robust tools that have opt-in forms, surveys, auto-responders, and the cart totally integrated within a single database.

Build an email list and establish a good relationship with your list. Share useful info and give some good freebies. Before sending an email to buy the product, send series of emails with useful and relevant information and then send a promotional email. You can do a Youtube video review about the prodccut and place a link in the video description, buy quality solo ads, do targeted PPC advertising and drive the traffic to a presale page, capture the leads and then send them to the product sales page. There are many ways for promotion, at start just select a few which you think you can do good at and then start promoting.

The issue of refunds has nothing at all to do with whether or not paid advertising is a good idea.

Refund-rates for ClickBank products are determined mostly by affiliates.

The reality is that different affiliates typically have hugely differing refund rates for the same products.

As any member of ClickBank's staff with whom you discuss it will quickly explain, affiliates who have very high refund rates tend to have them for every product they promote, while those of us who have very low refund rates also tend to have those for every product we promote, too.

The individual affiliate, the representations made by the individual affiliate, the traffic sources used by the individual affiliate, the pre-selling methods used by the individual affiliate, and so on, are overwhelmingly the significant factors.

A product that had high a refund-rate across all its affiliates would swiftly be removed from the Marketplace by ClickBank, because the monetary and administrative costs of processing all the refunds wouldn't cover the 7.5% profit they make on the unrefunded copies, and they'd be losing money on it.

It's also true that some niches (such as Forex), because of the overall nature of their products and traffic demographics, do tend collectively to have slightly higher-than-average refund rates, but this is mostly a red herring that has very little to do with the realities explained just above: the bottom line here is that affiliate skills and behavior are by far the primary determinants of ClickBank refund rates.

A common marketing technique is to offer a free bonus when a purchase is made through your affiliate link. The easiest way I found to automate this process is cblistautomator.com. After the purchase is verified by this software, the buyer can be directed to your bonus page, or to your autoresponder opt-In form where they have to subscribe in order to download your bonus offer.

In addition, since Clickbank provides an unconditional 90-day money back guarantee on all purchases (beyond the control of individual vendors), I have always leveraged this to the max for optimum conversions. This guarantee was always included quite conspicuously on every Clickbank product website and in every promotional message to my lists.

Building a list is very important in Internet marketing.Product review will be best for you to start with. You can take any product from clickbank and just Google it like - "product name review".Have a close look how people are reviewing the product. You can either start with a blog or with Youtube video. In the mean time keep building your list.

I find that Youtube traffic converts well for Clickbank products
for me. You need to make a youtube video reviewing the product
you are promoting and optimize the video with low competition
keywords related to the product. You also need to build quality
backlinks including social bookmarks and web 2.0 to your video to
get it ranked in Youtube and Google.

There are many different ways of promoting ClickBank products as an affiliate. I've made my living (mostly) from this for many years, now, and have tried several of them.

In my opinion, however you look at it and whatever you do, all the successful methods, from which people genuinely make steady money, or earn a living, or build a business, really boil down to three inescapable essentials.
      • You have to choose wisely the products you promote (because if you get that wrong, it clearly won't make any difference what else you do). The guidelines here have proven helpful to many people: Selecting the product
      • You have to pre-sell effectively to well targeted traffic (which obviously means that you have to understand the difference between pre-selling and selling, and you have to have at least one source of well targeted traffic).
      • You have to build subscriber email lists yourself. Not doing this is probably the commonest failing among people who struggle ineffectively to promote ClickBank products. The point to appreciate is that what typically sells them is the strength of your recommendation, your credibility and the trust people have in you. Those things are actually even more important to the sales process than the product and its sales page. It isn't really possible to achieve the outcome you want without building relationships. You have to have a list of your own and an effective continuity-process for its subscribers. Without this, you're effectively trying to run the bath by opening the taps fully but without remembering to put the plug in the hole, and you're losing almost everything, almost immediately: What are the essential things to know about list building?
These three things are simply not optional. The reality is that to get anywhere much beyond the occasional semi-random sale, as a ClickBank affiliate, you have to be both willing and able to do all three of them at least adequately. People who imagine and advise otherwise, in my opinion, are not really people making their livings by selling ClickBank products.

There is a difference between promoting and making sales. It depends on how targeted your traffic is and how they are warmed up.

I have ran tests where I haven't made a sale in 600 hops with direct linking. On the other hand, I have had a landing page where I did 1 sale for every 86 hops because each visitor was qualified.

It also depends on the offer itself. Some simply convert better than others.

And yes, list building is important. You see a lot of sales pages that are hyped up promoting the latest "push button" software yet they're all building lists.

Pay attention to what they do, not what they say.

Youtube and email list building is about the best you can do for selling Clickbank products. And, some people use one method exclusively over another. It will just depend on how well you are at communicating via written word as to whether or not an email list is the right way to go or whether you can communicate the same message to a person visually and close the sale on that first try with the person watching the video (that is by convincing them to click through and buy).

You can build niche sites or you can pay for traffic. One is faster the other is slower but free.

  • Build a list.

This way you can promote a affiliate offer more than once to a person

    Use this funnel

Traffic > Your landing page > Affiliate Offer On Thank You Page + Follow Up Emails

YouTube + Clickbank seems to be the popular choice for internet marketers. Simply make a video reviewing the product and link to a squeeze page where people can sign up. Once they sign up, redirect them to the CB offer. If they don't purchase straight away, just promote it to the list you just made. Bingo!

Also, you can do the same but with media buying. Create a squeeze page, redirect to CB offer and make sales. Just buy banner ads from BuySellAds which is closely related to your niche.

If you want to promote clickbank products with paid methods, you must keep in mind 2 things:

    1. Never drive traffic directly to the merchant site. You have to set up a simple website or blog, with few pages ( it can be a wordpress or blogspot hosted too, but it is not recommended ). Focus the site around a topic and you can even promote different products on different pages ( don't try more than a few ). Or, you can focus the whole website around a product. Drive traffic to your site first and there try to warm up customer for the final purchase.
    2. Get their e-mail addresses first. Since you have your own website where to drive traffic, try to capture their emails first. It is best to first give something very related for free, in exchange of them subscribing to your list. It will be great if you build a 5-10 message auto-responder. This will hook them up with you. After you build a list of at least 1000 messages, start sending them offers. This will not be cheap, prepare yourself to pay more than $1 per lead ( $1000 for 1000 list ), but it will worth in the end. Paid traffic is tricky, even if you direct the traffic to merchand landing page or if you sell your own product, there will be money invested before you make money to test different ppc providers, different campaigns, different ads, different products to promote ( or different landing page if you have your own product ). So be prepared to spend at least $500 until you start making profit.

If you don't know that how to get sales, why are you promoting it? You're wasting your time.

First, learn about conversion......... Finally, you would be learnt everything.....

This totally depends on your niche, but as warriors mentioned here directing your traffic to a squeeze page and then offering them the CB product works well. However, often the biggest problem is traffic generation (unless you are using paid traffic. For that Youtube vids can workwonders (again that's been mentioned already), but here's an easy trick:

Take a look at the meta data of popular YT vids in your niche. Create your own vids with similar meta data and do so social bookmarking of the videos.Make sure the description and tags have all the necessary KWs as in the competitor videos.

If you do that and post videos frequently they are going to appear in the "suggested" video list when people see your competitor videos. This is going to help you get good traffic.

    Bottomline - research and action!!

    Best of luck.

    Hi Soloseller2014

When selling clickbank offer its best to have a optin page before going to the CB affiliate offer . This way you will have them on you list so if they dont buy straight away you can keep sending them emails to promote the same CB offer . Remember building a buyers list is money in the bank .
I have sold CB offers directly the problem there is you have only used the lead once and its gone forever.
So build alist !! Heres link for getresponce free for 30 days http://gr8.com/pr/K19q plus you can make & host your landing pages there on getresponce .
    Hope this helps

    Hi Roderick,

you have made a great point, especially if you are paying for traffic, you really need to have a lead capture system.

Most people (including myself) will not purchase something online the first time it is seen.
People often visit a site 5 to 7 times before they purchase, so by capturing targeted visitors your sales conversions will increase.

It may take a little longer to set up, but this has proved to be the most effective way to be an affiliate marketer - make a relationship with your list , offering free good advice etc.and once they have confidence in you they are more likely to purchase from you.

    All the best

hard to say what the easiest way is, but getting targeted organic traffic to your affiliate website is definetly the most feasable way.

So make sure you keep your on and off page SEO on point!

Well, one of the best strategies of getting more sales is Google advertising, where you can use PPC and CPC for advertising your product and make a huge profit by selling your product as well. It is a little bit costly way to get the traffic in your site. Apart from this, you can also prefer SEO and SMM strategies for the same needs. It is an unpaid and manual way to get a lot more traffic in website, which is really helpful for your business prospects.

You can use social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. You can create a review video and use YouTube to promote them. If you got some money you can do ppc with Bing or you can buy solo ads and promote it to your list.

What niche inside of clickbank are you promoting. In any niche that you are promoting you should always do demographic research.Another important aspects is to give value .Once you grasp the importance of giving you will start to see results. You can also run traffic to a fb page as well but once again demographic research is going to be key to your success.

There is not really any easy way. If you want to build a real sustainable business first understand why you are in business. The quick buck method will won't get you very far ultimately in the end. My suggestion would be to think of your business and where you expect to be with it a few years from now. You end up coming shorter going the shortcut route then if you would have just learned proper marketing. Learn from someone that can provide you more insight on how to build your business online then from there take actionable steps each day, it takes time.
