PLR articles in the health and nutrition niche

Hey Warriors!

I'm working on a WSO at the moment writing PLR articles within nutrition. This is my field, having studied Nutritional Therapy and having a Bachelor of Science degree the writing will be factual, well researched and based on current nutrition science which is what my unique selling point will be. I am working on an outline and have thought of doing 10 articles (500-700 words each) on the Paleo Diet together with 10 autoresponders and 10 meal ideas.

It would be great to hear from you all as to whether you think this will be sufficient value to offer as a WSO or whether I should try add more to the package. I notice some PLR packages include an eBook and graphics, landing pages etc. I don't want to write an eBook as well and would prefer to just provide expert written marketing materials for marketers who do not have the expertise in the field of nutrition to use. I suppose they could use them as articles, blog posts etc to build a relationship with their subscribers. I am also thinking of then doing the same for the Meditteranean Diet and then also have a few other ideas... which I could then sell as a pack afterwards.

I would like to build a brand and eventually be the go to nutrition and health PLR person but as it is my very first WSO will have to first build trust which I am sure I can do with the quality and value provided in my writing. On that basis, am also not sure what to sell this for if anyone can offer some suggestions.

Would be great to hear from a few of you that have had some successful WSOs out there.

Thanks in advance

It could be a nice idea to become a freelancer writer about nutrition. You might set-up a web page about freelance writer and give your expertise as nutritional consultant.

Make a budget investigation and see if there is a lots of competition.

With your expertise there's no doubt the articles you right will be good value as a PLR package. If you want to add more value, I have a suggestion that wouldn't involve much more work on your part.
You already mentioned that people purchasing your plr could use the articles for blog posts and content to build relationships with their subscribers. How about taking a few 'snippets' from each article and design a 5 day 'paleo diet course' that purchasers could simply email their list over 5 consecutive days? This type of email course is getting more popular with people looking to build their lists.

      Mark,

Thank you so much for this idea. You are right it will not take much extra work to do this. I will be taking full advantage of your suggestion

Hey completely my pleasure. Nice to see someone putting out a product that can actually improve health!
After you've already put in the work of creating the content, it's nice to find a creative way to add value that doesn't require a lot more of your time. And I think that's where this idea fits. I'm sure as you dig a little deeper you'll find other ways to add in value without a huge time investment.

What you're planning on offering is fine and can do well as a WSO. If you want to add more value (and sales), perhaps offer a juicy 10 page report (which shouldn't take you too long) that your buyers can use to build a list with.

As far as pricing, since you are offering a package, I recommend perhaps 50% off the usual going rate for PLR content.

So, in your case, you're offering:

      1.) 10 articles.

      2.) 10 autoresponders.

      3.) 10 meal ideas.

      4.) OPTIONAL: 10 page report.

The going rate is usually $1 per page. So, you're pack would be $30 (without the report) and $40 with the report. With 50% off as a WSO, you could sell your pack for $15 or $20. You could also do a dimesale and start off at an even lower price that will max out at that $15 or $20 price.

      Hope that helps.

Thank you for your comprehensive response, and very handy to know how PLR prices are generally worked out!

I did think of doing a report or eBook but in the world of evidence-based, 10 pages can take a long time as there is a significant amount of research involved It is really important to me build my reputation around providing top notch content. In saying that, as a first WSO I am happy to go without and perhaps I can add that extra to my next PLR pack.

I am still day jobbing at the moment unfortunately, so time is pretty limited.

I have a nutrition website already. I am not a newbie to IM, just my first WSO.

I agree there is competition but lucky for me most people have no real knowledge in the field so I don't see them as too much for a threat. Real value and quality content trumps rehashed (and often incorrect) information in a heartbeat.

True. Nutrition..Health has a lot of competition. But if you are confident enough, just go for it. I am sure you are very good at it! Just be sure to follow the right steps on this.

Quite a competitive niche this is. However, what you are offering should do well as a WSO, depending on the quality which, as a on-newbie u are, will be very good. You did not give any clue as to the terms and conditions you intend to include in your package as that will determine what you would price your package at.

Very interesting question. Are you referring to what type of private label rights I will offer?

No matter what the competition is, I think that there's still room for you (and a big need for more "quality" health content), so if you can brand yourself as the go to person for high quality PLR in the health niche, I think you can do well. Perhaps you can come up with some creative ways to set yourself apart from the rest of the competition.

I agree, I mean the MMO and IM niches are pretty competitive as well yet people make money.

To be honest I think aside from the quality factor, just the fact that I know more about the physiological effects of food and various body systems allows me to be more creative as I can write about things people actually don't know about.

I'm not too worried about the competition to be honest. I think my thread was more about making sure I am offering the same or better value with my products.
