How do I track the referrer of my opt in?

My lead impact campaign is ready, but I just can't figure out prosper202. Do I have to add the lead impact code as a parameter?

I just want to know where my opt-ins are coming from.

tutorials? advice? I've been blowing my brains out for days watching videos.

  • I guess one way is to create a different list (with the same autoresponder) for each traffic source...
  • Any advice for good tracking tools?
  • Depends on what system you're using.

In aweber you can create a custom hidden field where you specify your traffic source and create several optin forms, one for each traffic source. With a bit of PHP programming you can send this source variable dynamically (for example www.yoursite.com/?source=CAMPAIGN1 )
  • just got My Click Boss. it tracks links, rotate links, which traffic source opts-in. its self hosted

    • My Click Boss looks interesting however its $87. I know there are options out there that are cheaper.

Any other ideas? Certainly prosper202 will track where my opt-ins cam from. People tell me it does.

      other ideas?

    • Yes I would also second My Click Boss. It has many features and also there is very good support so it is worth the price.
  • I personally use hypertracker to track optins via leadimpact so
I can drill down to the exact keyword that created the optin.

    • Exactly. That works!

That prosper202 thingy: I have tried several times to make that work but
honestly I never got it to work for me.

And I am not particularly technically challenged. Usually I am able to get everything to work but the 202 thingy is just a little complicated.
  • I'm using ClickMeter is great for opt in tracking because have a double conversion tracking feature and it's ok for keywords because record the referrer of every click and from there is easy to extract keywords without having to write complicate codes. It may result little expensive $34/mo.
  • I too like google analytics.
  • As stated earlier "hypertracker" is one of the best option to cloak at the same time track your clicks and visitors.

Apart from that every reputed Autoresponder company...Now have tracking installed within their server. You can take help of those tracking systems as well.

    Thanks,

  • If you want a tracker that won't break the bank, check out https://dash.trck.me/index.php.

It's only $9.99 a month and it does everything other trackers do only it cost less.
