Making larger amounts of money per sale and marketing to people who can afford to pay larger amounts

Hi all. I have been working online for several years as a music transcriber. I've reached the limits of what I can earn from this, and I want to move on to other income streams.

The problem with being a music transcriber is that most of the music I transcribe is for quite small amounts of money, usually £15, £25, maybe £35 per order, and it can often take quite a lot of time to complete each song. What I've found is that most musicians can't afford to pay any more than this, and if I charge any higher then they don't order from me.

I have a couple of other business ideas I'm about to get started with. Now I recently reached the conclusion that if I want to make larger amounts of money per order of any product or service I sell, I need to target people who can afford to pay larger amounts of money. In other words, if one wants to make £100, £1000, etc per sale of a product or service, MARKET TO PEOPLE WHO CAN AFFORD TO PAY THOSE AMOUNTS!

(Obviously the product or service must be worth the amount you're charging if you want to charge larger amounts).

Marketing products or services to people with hardly any money doesn't work, as they can only afford to pay a small amount of money.

Working for small amounts of money and marketing to people who can only pay small amounts of money has massively held me back and prevented me from making decent money. I've realised my mistake now and it's time to correct this and move onto other business ideas/income streams.

I also need to update my wealth thermostat so it's normal for me to make sales of 100s or 1000s of pounds/dollars etc and make a 4 figure income per week. I've had a poverty mindset for a long time, it's time to replace it with a wealth mindset and realise making larger amounts of money is possible.

So with this in mind, what are some industries where people within them can afford to pay 100s or 1000s for a product or service?

Thanks.

    Hi there,

In my experience what people can afford is based on the value they feel they are getting.

If you're only offering them something worth £20, then that's all they 'have'.

If you can add value to that, then their budget will rise.

Can you offer any additional services to your music transcribe service?

Well, I'm in the pretty much same situation as you are, but what I know for sure is that Warrior Forum Special Offer section is not the best place to market expensive products right of the bat.

Also a good strategy would be to presell something less expensive and then offer an upsell when you establish the trust with your customer, that's what works for me.

OP, does it have to be musically related? There are numerous high-ticket products out there that you can either develop personally, or push as an affiliate. In addition, there are also countless lower priced products that if marketed correctly can achieve a huge income. It all boils down to choosing the correct product and marketing it with the right traffic sources.

Hi, no it doesn't have to be musically related. I'll consider marketing and selling consider pretty much any product or service that is high ticket in terms of profit.

Can you suggest where I can look into high ticket affiliate products to market?

The thing about lower priced products and services is that you have to sell more to make a big profit, which is tough.

My transcriptions are high quality and it is skilled work, but the problem is I'm limited by what people are prepared to pay.

Yes, I could add additional services perhaps, I'll have to think of some.

This is a good question. I'm going to tell you how I've done it and many other people have as well.

First, don't pick a product that people don't love. That's obvious right? Human nature to some extent never changes.

Especially with information products. People are always going to want to be healthier (weight loss) wealthier and wiser. Let's take golf for instance.

People that play golf will do almost anything to learn certain secrets that will teach them how to hit a ball longer and reduce their hooks and slices. You warm up your prospect.

"Free report reveals how to drive a golf ball farther than you have ever have before and with laser pin point accuracy." There, you get their email address offer valuable information and through your sequence offer your first product.

Let's say for argument sake it's $47. Now, you have a certain percentage of people that have said "Yes" and they order your product.

Now what does that tell me? They've ordered one product from me so now I'm going to sell them something else related to that product. Now, I send them more information and sell them something else that is going to improve their game. Don't get me wrong I have to have a great offer that is benefit driven and persuades and compels people to buy.

However, this list of people are hot buyers and they've already told you they want what you have and now you're going to sell them a $97 product.

And this happens again and again until they no longer want what you have.

What products could I sell to people I've transcribed music for (i.e. musicians)? Do you think there would be any sort of mailing list I could do for musicians?

If you are talking about off line marketing lists. There is the SRDS mailing list that may help you with prospective buyers.

However, if you really want to make some big money you're going to have to stop thinking small. This one at a time mentality isn't going to do it.

Think big. Follow the same system that I talked about in the other post.
