HACKED: HELP and IDEA: (Opinions from Security Pros Please!)

Forget the idea, since I just seem to be getting spammed about it.

How about someone just suggesting a good host besides Bluehost and Hostgator and InMotionHosting? No aff links, or I won't believe the endorsement please.

...A simple google search will pull up the top 10 Hosting Sites.
There are so many, and are all on a similar level.
    GoDaddy
    Namecheap
    iPage
    HostMonster
    JustHost
    etc

Ugh...lol...I have to take-back my second thank you, unfortunately the one I picked does not have any phone support that I can find. Still searching.

I'm not sure what your looking for in a host? Perhaps going dedicated so you have an account manager is what you need?

I couldn't find any readily available support number for Namecheap, so I disregarded them, but did choose another of your suggestions that I'll likely go with, that have not only an amazing price (tho that does not matter to me, since it seems the cheap hosting we're all getting suckered into now is what is causing so many hacks, slow-downs, etc) but they have readily available support numbers AND a service that they include in the price that is a third party security service, AND prorated guarantee; all what I wanted.

So again...a "thank you," I think I'll be happy with the one among your list up there that I have decided upon.

I have been using Beyond Hosting, its not cheap at $45 a month, but its rock solid and fast.

No telephone support, but whenever I have a problem then they have been very quick to resolve (in one case 5 minutes from opening a ticket)

What is your knowledge level? I use lunarpages, which is more pricey than the others. But unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth and unlimited domains on the same VPS. It also has a linux shell for me to admin it, and the cpanel has control over all of the domains individually.

If you're using Wordpress, I recommend the Wordfence plugin. Together with WP Better Security they do a great job of checking and notifying.

Thanks for your reply. I am deciding between "BulletProofSecurity" plugin and Wordfence...any opinions?

I'm not familiar with Wordfence, and BPS seems to have a rather complicated set-up to it.

I've been using WiredTree for a long time. They have protection in place specifically for hacks and WordPress login attacks. Phone support is incredible. LiquidWeb is another good option. I moved to WT because they upgrade servers for free every few years.

Hey I use VPSDepot. Before I got my own VPS I used GoDaddy would not recommend them, and WebHostingPad - These guys are good. You get unlimited everything pretty much for like $1.99/month or something ridiculously low like that. In Cpanel you dan add Unlimited Domains, emails, etc. Web space says 10GB in CPannel, but if you ever run out they will just up your allowed space for free. When i filled up my 10GB, I called WebHostingPad, and they added another 10GB for no charge right away. Good, fast hosting company, i've been with them since they started in 2006. GREAT customer support, they ALWAYS have someone on call. I don't remember waiting more than 2 minutes for a representative EVER!

Namecheap has been pretty good for us against hackers; they have quite stringent policies. Was notified of several blocked attempts
