2014! .com vs the others

With the latest Google update I've head that it doesn't matter what domain name you use.

Is it true?

if yes how about using .info instead of .com ?

I'm planning to launch a new affiliate website and I'm wondering if .com still carries the weight compare to other cheaper tlds :confused:

What do you think?

      .com is always the best option IMO as it is the most trusted of all the extensions, if unavailable I would go with .org then . net only.

    .com domains are always strong an get haviest traffic because 90% internet users always go with .com domain instead other but .org and .info are also good.

    Certainly .com followed by .org and .net
    I always go for the above 3 extensions. I think .com will always carry weight.
