So Fiverr is thrash ?

Hello Warriors ,
There have been many threads in this forum where many members are complaining about fiverr services.

Some are saying the traffic packages sold there are spam and not of any use.

Some are complaining about copied content and artwork is sold there .

But my question how fiverr members has so many good reviews there ? are they also fake

All views are welcomed

It depends on the type of service you are buying. most feedback submitted to people who are selling seo-related services were done years ago. I buy video, sound, and images related services and I have no problem at all.

Not all are trash. But it is buyer beware.

I had one Fiverr who did a great job creating a news-style video for me.

On the other hand, I had one Fiverr who foisted off some lame stock music on me rather than give me what I had ordered.

Good and bad on Fiverr. I recommend testing a Fiverr out at just $5, then go for more if they do a good job.

It's definitely risky. You could get great service or it can be crappy. The good thing is that it only costs $5 to figure that out.

Don't use Fiverr for anything that is risky, such as building backlinks. You're just gonna get spammed.

I completely agree. Although because of my signature this may sound biased, I am actually more of a buyer on Fiverr than seller.

It depends on what you want for $5 and who you hire. I mean, if you can find a good quick service to offer and deliver quality results, why wouldn't you get good feedback.

I started a new gig about a month ago or so and so far I have gotten about 15 orders all with positive feedback because I treat each customer they way I would want to be treated.

Again, most stuff there is junk, but as far as things like Logo, quick WP fixes, Voice over stuff, and things like that go, there are great sellers there.

But I would say most link building and social bookmarking stuff are pure junk.

It's amusing how people how people can think services that usually cost hundreds (or more) can be only $5. Really? You don't think that you might get garbage in return? Because that's what will almost always happen.

    - spam
    - stolen content
    - hack work (clipart, etc)

I've never seen anything worth two farts on that site.

    I love Fiverr.

You just have to use "High Rating" to narrow done the good ones and read what other buyers have to say.

But don't expect them to generate real traffic.

There are several very great narration, design and video editing services. However, the SEO services are usually garbage. Always look at the feedbacks and ratings of the seller.

A lot of sellers offer bonuses or extra free gigs if the buyer leaves positive feedback. Also, you'll see a lot of the feedback is related to the speed of delivery, rather than the quality of the product or service.

These lead to a disproportionate number of positive ratings for sellers that provide products and services that are mediocre at best... and at worst, they can do some real damage. Spammy backlinks, "stolen" images, etc. can lead to much more and much worse than just a wasted $5.

That being said, there are some truly good deals to be found, if you are diligent.

There are 1000's of Gigs that can help you to save time. Just skip those that have to do with:

    - Marketing. This includes active SEO (Backlinks, research may be reasonable ok), Tweets (99% of them are fake) etc.
    - Traffic

It very much depends what service you are after. I would not buy traffic from fiverr and expect anything worthwhile. Also if you are really unhappy with the service then just mutually cancel the order. I have done this loads of times with various disappointing orders. No harm done.

I used Fiverr twice and both times it was money down the drain. The last one was a terrible experience. I needed a website header graphic for my blog, and the guy showed a really good portfolio of work and had lots of great testimonials, so I thought I was safe. But what he delivered was so bad it made my jaw drop. It looked like a 5 year old child did it. Seriously, it was beyond dreadful, and nothing remotely like what I asked for. I requested colours white, black and blue, and I got a bright yellow header with the worst computer graphic I've seen in 20 years.

I'm sure there are some good sellers on Fiverr, but personally I probably won't use it ever again.

      Is Fiverr trash?

The answer to that will depend on what service the person answering purchased.

In my opinion, fiverr is a wonderful place to get services for cheap ($5) and believe me there are very nice service providers there.

Yes, there are services which if you are not diligent, you will just flush your money through the drain. I have mainly got such problems with link building and SEO related services. For that, I have learned not to trust the positive reviews.

What I do instead is to read the negative reviews. Believe me, even if they are 10 negative reviews out of 5000 positive ones, it will give you an idea of what to expect and make your decision accordingly.

However, I have also come across excellent article writers, graphic designers and coders who do an excellent work for a measly $5. Because of such people, I would not call Fivver trash.

Just like any market place (take Amazon, ebay etc for example), you will come across the bad and the good. It is up to you to weed out the bad and only engage the best.

And when you get enough money, consider upgrading to more professional providers. "You get what you pay for."

1000's of gigs are there on fiverr in different services etc
Now if you buy logo, some graphic design from there for $5, that is fine. As long as you are happy with $5 logo, then this is great service.
    BUT
if you are buying backlinks, SEO etc for $5, then it is your fault as no body on earth can provide you with good SEO, backlinks etc for $5 (in fact $4 after fiverr deduct $1 from seller as commission)
SO fiverr services are not trash. It depends on what you buy from there.

If the design wasn't to your specifications, you can reject the project and get a refund.

The Dollar Tree sells products for $1, yet they are a fortune 500 company that earned $5 BILLION in revenue in 2009. Would you consider that trash? I wouldn't.

Also, on the note of "Most gigs are trash", there are over 3.2 MILLION services on Fiverr. Have you viewed and tested each one? If not, how can you make such a bold claim?

I use Fiverr to get specific things done when my team doesn't have time. Non-written Content Creation is at the top of my list (Video creation, Changing Articles to Presentations, etc).

The real question isn't "Can Fiverr give me traffic?" The real question is, "Do I know how to get traffic, and what Fiverr gigs can I use to speed up that process?"

If you don't know how to get people to visit your website, you'll get sucked into all the hyped up gigs that are being sold by... People who don't know how to get traffic to their website. (Hopefully you just got a light bulb moment)

Fiverr is cool. The main thing you have to try to do is interview the sellers before you buy the gig. Try to see if they just want the quick money or they are interested in doing legit business. My only bad experience on there was with a graphic designer whose work they sent me did not look like his demo portfolio on the site.

Another thing you want to watch out for is ordering from users that don't have recent comments on their gigs or show any signs of recent activity.

Over all Fiverr is a cool environment to build your team. But like another guy said in here, watch out for the Twitter/Fcebook and seo rank sellers.

I've got some great ecovers & small technical graphical jobs done by really talented people for a fraction of the cost it would have been on other sites.

The profit margin is only $4 for the seller, so you're looking at getting tasks done that take < 15 minutes. Like others have said a lot of the traffic gigs are poor, but it all depends on what you want to achieve and you should be reading all the feedback before ordering.

I love Fiverr and use it extensively. It's true you may have some bad experience, but you may also discover some true gems - and the beauty of it you are just risking 5 dollars!

When ordering any kind of graphics, be as specific as possible, show examples you like etc... I had great book covers done, logos, illustrations, banners and more.

As for traffic, a little bit of common sense is required. Not one solo ad on Fiver is worth even trying - unless you are doing some grey hat and not so ethical stuff, like "proving" to your customer that you got him traffic, or selling a traffic WSO showing your analytics where you got a surge of traffic thanks to your traffic blueprint when actually it was from a Fiverr gig.. LOL... The same applies for fake FB likes or Youtube views - NOT recommended.

Still, there are some good Fiverr gigs that will help your traffic in a good healthy way. Think about yourself manually submitting your infographic to 25 sites, or your report, or your powerpoint slides... It would take you ages, and really boring. Well, there are some good people ready to do this job for you for 5 bucks. You just have to find them, test some and when you find the good gems, stick to those providers.

I can go on and on...

You want to be careful when choosing the gig, you get what you pay for. My latest experience with Fiverr was ordering an ebook cover. The seller would take days to respond, wouldn't answer my questions, and the end result came out looking like crap. Good news is he fixed the cover, but it still looks pretty mediocre.

I've had good experiences with squeeze pages and voice overs. Based on my other experiences, the traffic/SEO gigs are mostly low quality.

    As Kevin said, buyer beware.

Fiverr is a marketplace, and like any marketplace, you run into sellers who are just looking to get by. On the other hand, there are sellers with integrity; it really just depends on who you get. For those suggesting that paying $5 will always get you trash-- that isn't always true. I write 500 word articles at a penny/word all the time and have no problem supplying clients with a quality piece. While I don't sell on Fiverr, (I sell directly from my own site) there are people out there who acknowledges that their image and reputation are on the line. Look at the reviews, gather what information you can, and do your best. If you find a good service, stick with it.

You just have to be realistic when it comes to Fiverr.

If its a quick and easy job then $5 a service will be reasonable. But if you stumble upon a gig that is clearly worth a heap of time and effort that is when you starting questioning it.

Eh, I've used some fiverr goods to post ads to various classifieds. Finding the right poster was well worth the $25 it took to find that particular poster.

Then of course there is the writer, who happens to be a struggling college student, who is like a damned diamond in the rough for my niche. I connected with her outside of fiverr to give her $$ directly since her work is so good.

So *AHEM* Let's all bash Fiverr collectively in waves of malicious contempt please as I go in and find quality sellers to help me run my business better

**I get that 99.5% of gigs are either weird or too low quality to be worth the effort. But finding that 0.5% who are worth their weight makes it all worth it to me. I don't mind at all that most people say it's sh!t for SEO or whatever. Thankfully that isn't relevant to me.

    Hi,
Fiverr is one of the best place to get small things done its all about the package suppose you are buying 200 backlinks from fiverr in just $5 then definitely this is spam because i you contact any SEO service company thery charged you more than $20 this mean the seller on fiverr is spam.So its all about quantity providing by vendor for $5.

Fiverr is a great site if you use it the right way.. To often we hear people say something is not worth it or its all spam. Well guess what alot of jobs may not be worth it but it ultimately depends on the kind of service you are looking for... If you're looking for traffic to your site chances are you will find a lot of people sending you fake Traffic so that is something id stay away from. Now if you're looking for something like a company logo or landing page or voice over than i would say Fiverr is pretty cool for those considering the price you will pay. Not to mention you are only paying the seller $4 for the service as Fiverr Takes $1 from the sale. So in Reality you are paying just $4-$5 for a service that you might pay $30 or more for any place else.

So give it a shot just be aware of what service you're ordering.

Spend time to do your due diligence. Make sure you choose someone who is top rated, read the reviews and where possible ask for examples of a job done. Some providers will provide links to their recent work depending on what they are offering; follow the links and do your home work to ascertain the quality of the job the provider gives. Better spend more time to research than hurrying to buy a service. When you get a brilliant provider you can always go back to them.

Yes, stay away from Fiverr as far as traffic is concerned but there as some amazing people out there offering great services. Don't forget there are many gigs out there that are also $10, $20 and more, and some larger gigs are negotiable, so not everything is $5.

I have found some highly educated and motivated professionals from third world countries who do superb stuff for $5. Don't forget $5 might be a pittance to you in your comfortable lifestyle but in some of these poor countries it can mean a lot more.

I tend to avoid any SEO services which are automated or use tools like 'SENuke'.. I know what I want from my back-linking endeavors & how to do it, so i wouldn't necessarily trust someone else to do this for a $5..

As with many things in life, their are legitimate individuals who provide top notch services within the arena of Fiverr. I have had excellent experiences with sellers on Fiverr, as well as the reverse. Traffic or link building services I would stay clear of. If anyone offers you a thousand, or even ten thousand visitors for a really cheap rate, is this seen as helpful within your business? Maybe, only you know what your goals are. I always look at reviews of a seller and I'm aware that some of these May be doctored, but I have been overly pleased with the work I've received from this website.

I look for the top performers in a category when I look for a service on Fiverr. I have not been sorry when purchasing gigs with the exception of traffic gigs. I check the feedback and then I purchase based on who is offering the best deal for that five bucks.

If you want consistent quality then find one person you like and just order future gigs with them. Keep it simple and roll with the person who performs well and delivers on time. So far I've purchased banners, e-covers and voiceovers.

Fiverr is good if you are looking for someone to paint your logo on their 150pd beer gut & dance around... or perhaps a guy dancing around with plastic grocery bags attached to himself screaming your company name lol
After their buyout they completely changed their platform & if you do some quick research, top level sellers are leaving in a mass exodus - even the originals. For any kind of real SEO services I would not trust fiverr at all anymore just my 2 cents

Fiverr is great if you're looking for the following services:
    - Illustrations
    - Creative writing (e.g. horror stories, children's stories)
    - Basic design services (Kindle cover, QR code, business card, etc.)
    - Voice actors, spokesperson, testimonials
    - Translation
    - Funny&crazy stuff

I found two fantastic providers when I was working on a children's book. I got an unique, amazing 1500 words story (for $30), and a fantastic hand-drawn picture (for $10). I probably would have spent hundreds on Elance or Odesk.

I've used it for small things and been happy with the result. Wouldn't trust more in-depth services like copywriting or building backlinks to it though. I think you can get good value if you target services that you might expect to pay $15-$30 for otherwise. They are looking to make money with upsells on Fiverr - and you can find some talented people.

For $5, why not gamble with something small? It's actually fun.

It really depends on what you're going to fiverr for. I used it for transcribing and audio recording and I've used it for a few articles on some other websites I own, but have received no issues. In regards to receiving articles from there, go through copyscape and google sections of articles. I heard stories of people getting sold horribly spun content and things that are copied.

I'd say look for gigs with a good track record, recent reviews, and reasonable in their promises (not the 'get 100,000 links' offers, which basically promise to bombard your site with spam links). Keep your expectations lower, and you end up being surprisingly pleased by what you can get for $5.

I've had great experience with Fiverr. I've had a few ebook covers designed by a girl who does an AWESOME job. She's one of the top sellers and has rave reviews. I pay $5 for the design service, then I buy the $5 extra so she picks out whatever artwork/photos (if needed) for my ebook covers. She can easily charge $100+ for her services.

To say Fiverr is trash because of one or two bad experiences is just faulty logic.
