Benefit of Registering a .CA Domain

I'm looking to expand my product to different markets, starting with Canada. I was looking into the benefits and cost of having a .CA domain, to assist with SEO and other marketing factors.

I've ran into a bump, how do I register a .CA? Do I need a business registered in Canada? Is there a service that provides this?

Or, maybe having a separate .com, with Canada in the title is enough?

I'm really curious what others have done. Thanks for any feedback.

    To obtain a .CA domain, just use google "buy .ca domain".
    But I would only suggest you to do so in terms of Marketing; SEO not so.

    If you have a website it would be better for the customer to select their region on the landing page (CANADA / USA) - but that's what I would do.
    In the end, it is all up to you to call the shots
