      I think it's best to wait more than 1 minute for a reply.

      But when it comes to promoting an affiliate link for free.. you could try forum marketing. Check the rules and pop the link in your signature.

      It'll be slow, but free..

        You dont promote an affiliate link. You promote a product or a website that has your affiliate links and there are many ways to do that.

        Start by setting up a blog around the topic, then find forums in your niche and provide value with your link in the signature.

        You can also proceed further by ranking your blog for various related keywords

    If you could use the search function of this forum.. you would save yourself a lot of time! I realize that you are a newbie, so try to search this forum for all the info you need..if you know how to search this forum can give you a lot of good info.
    First of all there is no such thing of FREE promotion!
    You either invest money or time.. but it's not free
    You can use social networks, especially facebook and pinterest, you can use youtube marketing, you can even use free platforms like blogger, and squidoo..you can use article marketing..(yeah that still works if you know how to do this), you can use info graphics on Slideshare...there are a ton of ways to do this..but if you're still asking how to promote affiliate links instead of affiliate products.. then you still need to learn about these things..
    Done right can give you a lot of money.. but need to learn how to do that first

    There are plenty of free ways to do this, as already answered. Remember that free does require time.
    But before you just dive right in to a method, I'd suggest doing some research in your niche and specifically your affiliate products.
    How are buyers currently finding their products? Are they forum browsers, article readers, youtube subscribers?

    Get into the buying pattern of your target market and you'll be able to focus your marketing efforts much more effectively.

    On the WF, not in discussion threads and not in your signature, except that you can put affiliate links in your own site and then put that site in your signature. It appears that you have an affiliate link in your signature right now. I suggest you read the signature rules before you lose your signature privileges.

    For free YouTube is probably your best bet. If you have a little cash to spend (say $20) you can rent an annotation on someone else's high traffic video
