Advice required on unregulated entity set up
Hi all, this is my first post, I thank you in advance for those kind enough to take the time to read and hopefully offer the guidance i require. I am based in Hong Kong and in the process of developing a simple but effective model which will generate consistent revenue derived off the back of a monthly pdf newsletter. I have developed the product, revenue flow and established a sufficient client base. The newsletter itself consists of collaborated free ( disclaimer confirms open to free distribution) third party research which has been refined, polished and summarized. Unfortunately Hong Kong is heavily regulated and will be painful to obtain the required financial licenses ( SFC type 4). A solution - To set up an offshore(BVI) unregulated entity in my wifes name, who has a marketing degree to use as a platform for this business model. Does this seem viable? Consolidating free information and repacking - is this legal ?? Will the offshore entity be subject to HK laws and jurisdiction?
