Product launches? re-launching the 'exact same' product, every year? 2011, 2012, 2013 2014 ??

Lets say you have an ebook product, and you launch it as a product launch.

Have you repeated the same product, in serial yearly launches, in this below style ?

Launched
March 2011 (for the first time) - generating $x sales
then, the same product,

Re-Launched March 2012 - generating $x sales
Re-Launched
March 2013 - generating $x sales
Re-Launching
March 2014 - generating $x sales

so the same exact product hat been launched 4 times, but once a year.

Have you done your product launches this way, (with that single product, launched every year)

How have your results been?

Do you find you get more sales each year?

Isn't this what Jeff Walker does with his product launch formula course but each year adds some new stuff and puts a new number on the course.

If you're going to re-launch the exact same product that was launched a year ago, you'll wind up with a lot of unhappy customers for a couple reasons..

    1. The method is a year old. It might be out dated.
    2. Your repeat customers are going to want their money back for paying for the same product twice.

If anyone is thinking about re-launching a product, update it, add TONS of new value to it, then put it out on the market. You always want to make sure your customers are happy, because if they aren't, not only are you losing money, you're also losing your reputation.

It wouldn't be relaunched to the buyers, who have purchased it previously, but to new non buyers, who would have been built up within that year.
