Hi,
i have read some articles about list building, but without that maybe someone can give me some advice how to encourage people to sign up to newsletter / list + what works and from what i must stay aware.

- Do you create your own product like e-book which you give for free if someone sign up to your list or you get some other stuff with right to publish. (If so i am looking for such things also)

+ i want share this great video course in Udemy its name is - "Email Marketing Made Easy: Building up a List"

Link to it - https://www.udemy.com/mailchimp/?sl=...HAsRbg%3D%3D#/

I've always believed the best approach to building your list/getting a customer's e-mail, is to offer something that requires them in providing their email. "I would love to show you how to explode your business through my remarkable coaching series on Solo Ads, what's your best email so I can get this to you immediately!" Beats offering a e-report. Make them want to throw their email at you, by improving their bottom line. All the best!

Add some free stuff or videos at your squeeze page. You can also upload any sample video at youtube and give link to your signup page in the description.

In the past I gave an ebook away, which had an invitation to join my list.

The benefit to the reader was they were exposed to my skill level and writing style.

If I wasn't a good match for what they were looking for, they were aware of it before hand and didn't sign up to my list.

The drawback is it's an extremely slow way to grow a list because I wasn't using any bribery or manipulation to get people to join, which is what I wanted.

    Hello
For my lists I always create Special Reports (eBooks) as freebies/ bait for signing up. They need to be ultra-useful and truly relevant to what your list is about. Usually these are 7 to 17 pages each.

As I'm primarily a writer anyway I'm always creating products (audios, ebooks, larger front-end and back-end products etc).

These Special Reports are programmed as 'Followups' into my ESP. And go out on auto at set times.

Naturally your regular email etc content needs to be of a high enough 'on message' quality that the truly interested will stick around for more.

I find as long as your content is well-written, engaging and informative you can put ads in with your copy.

Also a good ratio is 3 to 1:

3 Emails etc are mostly content with a couple of ads for the same product mixed in

1 Email is a pure promo for a product

I don't go crazy with the 'autoresponder them to death' tactic. And I usually send out 2 to 3 emails a week for more 'relational' lists.

For pure product signup lists I increase the amount of comms and may send out 1 or 2 pre-programmed messages per day.

Depends on the purpose of the list. And what you agreed to when you sign up at the squeeze page.

    Good Luck

Giving them bonus, something free, like eBook or even better, video. Don't just give them anything - grant them something of great value, they will appreciate!

I keep it simple. I provide good content on my website that my visitors like and then tell them if they sign up they'll get more of the same and be updated whenever I add anything new.

Rarely use bribes or freebies as I feel the content on the site should be good enough in it's self to get people to want to sign up just so they don't miss what I'm offering.

Keep your sign up page simple, with just enough information to presell the person on the idea of signing up. You might even want to include a video on the sign up page which will summarize the benefits you are offering for signing up to the email list.

Use your lead capture page to warm up the person on the idea of signing up, rather than spamming them with pages of text they won't read anyway.

I like switching things up, and letting them know that not every one qualifies for it.

"Click here to see if you qualify for our muscle building newsletter"

From there they go to a survey, which eventually allows me to collect their email.

    It works out pretty well

Thats your best bet is to create your own pdf ebook giving away some knowledge your have in a particular market. It's good to be able to monetize your list right away with a "front end offer" to help cover your advertising cost and give you a little up front money.

As far as the content its all about testing what works for you. There really is no right or wrong answer I suppose. I mean to a certain point I mean...

    Hey Matt,
I advise you give to something away for free such as a free ebook filled with value. In your free ebook also provide your story so you could connect with your reader. With giving away value such as useful information for your prospect and your story to connect with them. For example your free ebook could solve your prospects problems which in return they will give you their email address in exchange for the free ebook. Hope this helps
