Need a way to check the availbility of more than one domain at a time

Does anyone know of a tool or registrar or something where I can check the availability of domain names faster than one at a time.

I have a decent sized list of domains I need to check for various projects and putting in each one with my registrar is tedious.

Thanks for any help,

Rebtl

(Oh, how real are the rumors I have heard about never searching for a domain on a domain search engine unless you plan to buy it right then. Because they will scan the searches and buy it out from under you?

Does this happen often?

You can do 500 at a time at Moniker.com. Or 1000 at a time at Fabulous.com. Both are perfectly safe, and will not steal your domain ideas. Many other registrars are risky.

The only way to know for sure is through long-term experience. I've been in the domain business many years, and have tested many domain name registrars. The only two that I totally trust are the two I mentioned above. This is not to say that there aren't other trustworthy registrars, but those are the ones I have experience with.

I've been using Fabulous.com for years, on a daily basis. Whenever I enter a list of domains to check, I do it there, and the best domains that are available I keep in the shopping cart at Fabulous. I have never had any of these domains swiped by Fabulous.

    Yea, bump for senve's question

I am not a serious domain real estate buyer. I am happy with my host and buying domains at my leisure.

But if I wanted to do some serious searching how would someone inexperienced in this area know who to trust?

By asking someone who registers domains on a daily basis . There really is no sure way to know without experience. Generally, stay away from registrars that market to the general public :::cough:::daddy::: and use only registrars that cater to domaining professionals.

Thank you, very interesting information. Also interesting to know about the potential theft of domain searches. Never even occurred to me. And I have often lost them too and I wondered, but the thought flew out of my head and I never even gave another thought. But I can see, I need to be more careful about my creative ideas.
