Squeeze page design and creation, what elements are involved? Is inserting optin code Expensive?

When designing a squeeze page (on paper first), then what are the elements to consider in it.

These are some, but what others

  • The sales copy,
  • Images included of the offer
  • opt-in form
  • additional links on the page

and if using a coder to insert the getresponse optin form code to the squeeze page, is that an expensive task they will charge for? (as it is fiddly)

Your best option would be to use OptimizePress, much cheaper and much faster than using a coder/web designer.

It will be much more user-friendly for yourself, compared to having to fiddle around with HTML and such.

    Regards,

eg video included, in the centre (if a vid squeeze page)

Yes, I would agree with Theo. OptimizePress is the better option. You can create high converting pages & can do so many amazing things with that theme.

      I personally use it myself!

Fair enough! From a coders point of view its VERY easy to do. I would say no more than 2 days work.

I could whip one up no problem! For a fee of course.

      Hi there
You could go to fiverr as there are many people on there that will do a great job for you. It is usually a good idea to use a few squeeze pages and do some testing. You mentioned getresponse. They have a very good squeeze page builder as an addon. I have heard it is excellent. I am using optimizepress but also power lead system that has been brilliant
      Best of luck

Inserting the GetResponse code into a squeeze page is just a copy and paste job. The code is already in working order, there is nothing to change.

So what you need if you're creating the squeeze from scratch is just a designer and a front end (html) coder to create the layout. Just paste the GetResponse code onto the html page and it'll work.

That is fine thanks, but besides the optin form, what else is included in a squeeze page, what other parts is it made from?

I just switched to GetResponse and it's like $15 per month for up to 1000 subscribers, and the price goes up from there based on the your size of your subscriber list.

But... I was playing around with their (built-in) landing/squeeze pages earlier, and they have templates of landing/squeeze pages (in a visual editor WYSIWYG) they are pretty cut and dry (no need for knowing code), so you can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

I generally use OptimizePress for my squeeze pages, and just create my webform code and paste it in using Optimize Press, but there are several FREE Squeeze page options if you search. I know I've see free squeeze templates being given away in the War Room ($37) to paid members.

As far as your questions pertaining to "What is the squeeze page made from?" - It simply consists of an HTML page with a built in 'autoresponder script' that collects the name and email, stores that data, and allows you to send pre-written follow-up emails at the time, date, and intervals you choose to send them. So, once your emails are loaded, and set to go out, you can generate automated follow up emails, and essentially automated sales for years, and years to come, lol.

Best bet IMHO is for you to set up a FREE Trial with GetResponse or the $1 Trial with AWeber and fiddle around in the design area.

They both have videos that can better explain "How it all works" - but the simplified answer is...

1.) Squeeze entices visitor to Opt-in using their name & email
2.) Once they 'submit' their info, triggers autoresponer to perform various redirects or specific actions; which can redirect visitors to the Thank-You Page to deliver the download of an eBook or Free report, or it can simultaneously send a Follow Up email to them with the download links (to the subscribers email) and redirect them to a URL for another web page offering a OTO (One Time Offer) etc...
3.) Once a subscriber is ON your list, you can pre-load future emails and set the dates and times they are to be delivered.
4.) Follow up emails should offer value, free insights, build credibility with your audience, and then occasionally you can add links to recommended products, future promotions, upcoming releases, etc...

*The Squeeze Page hinges upon 2 things... Having an autoresponder account set up, and learning to target specific audiences with quality emails.

I've had plain, ugly webforms posted on my free blogs that offered a FREE report and built decent lists that way. *But you need an autoresponder to generate the simple webforms.

2 days for a squeeze page????

You can get templates and whatnot if you want to go the coder route, but even if you start from scratch a squeeze page is the simplest form of web page out their and should be able to be made in about an hour. 1/2 hour if you know what you are doing.

The main thing is your headline.
    Then a sub-header.

You can also list some specific benefits if you'd like and if you think it'll entice more people to sign up.

Sometimes, less is more. Too many words, too many links (you mentioned links in your original post), and the potential subscriber gets overwhelmed and leaves.

    My opinion (if you're asking!):
-Headline - attention-grabbing and specific for the people you'd like to target.
-Subtitle - explain a little more, in a short, succinct sentence.
-Image of the product is always good.
-You can do your own photo as well to build trust (sometimes - and this is purely my own opinion - squeeze pages that are too well done appear to me to be scams. Maybe because scammers spare no money. My point is, having your picture there would allay any fears.)
-Listing a few benefits (what they will get out of your product) in bullet points would be a good idea as well.

Also, I'm trying to understand why you want to pay a coder to make your squeeze page for you?

    So, lot of options presented.
Squeeze page content itself - optin form (obviously), great headline, with a curiosity inspiring sub headline. If you want to include benefits, sure, but no more than 2 or 3. One solid customer testimonial is a great addition. And then the call to action which leads to your opt in.
As mentioned, GetResponse has squeeze page templates which are dead easy to use, plus they'll even host the page for you.

If you want to do it yourself, no biggy. But either you learn the coding, get a designer, or use a 3rd party page builder. A lot of people here are big on Optimize Press (and for good reason), but if you're on a budget I've been very happy with InstaBuilder, which is much, much less investment and packed with features.

You do not need a coder. You can create your own squeeze page yourself and then test the headline and offer to see what works best.

I would also try using video and comparing it with a paqe without video.

Creating a "squeeze page video" is easy. Just create a couple of slides (You can use Microsoft Word pages). On these slides write 3-4 bullet points of the offer. Quickly explain the highlights and then direct the website visitor to the optin form. Close the video by telling them to enter their email to get the offer. Keep the video to about 30-60 seconds. This will work.

How to make the video? Try screencastomatic.com. It's a free screencapture site. No download. It's an online solution and very easy to use.

One more great resource for free landing (Squeeze) page templates is LeadPages website. They have excellent software but provide great free standalone samples in their blog section daily.

One more thing, I've noticed more and more traffic from mobile devices lately. Make sure your page is responsive/optimized for mobile traffic.
