Where to get article witers?

by bugzy

Aside from webmaster forum's freelancers are there any other venue/website where I can get good-excellent article writers?

I don't mind if it's a company and if I'll pay extra dollar as long as it's legit and writers can deliver it right away. Also payment method in PayPal is a must as well.

Any recommendation guys?

As a warning, it pays to do a bit of research and develop a hiring process that filters out the riffraff. There are plenty of pitfalls on both sides of the content game, and every place I mentioned also attracts its share of bottom-dollar, undependable writers.

    Good luck!

I've used iwriter several times for several websites. I have had great luck with them. I've had to reject and article here and there, but this is expected. I've found the writers will generally do a nice job. They know that if they don't, they don't get PAID! The rule is (was and I believe still is) that you don't pay for the article until you're happy with it. The turnaround time was always fast as well (a day to a couple days). Good luck!

There's a lot of results when you do a Google search for "article writers", most of them are companies. But top of the line is iWriter (no, we are not connected/affiliated/related). You can find some really good writers there, especially in the Elite section. We used to write there, but decided to go commando.

Turnaround time is relative. There are writers who can turn out your request in under 2 hours, there are others who take a bit more time. iWriter puts a time limit on each article a writer takes down from the queue to ensure faster delivery, but sometimes the time runs out and it goes back to the list and can be taken again, and the cycle goes on.

Are these product reviews you need written?

I would suggest finding one or two writers you like and keeping them as your personal writers. This is probably a better option in the long run.

The reason I say this is that the material I produce for my clients gets better and better with each new project. We're able to work together and develop an understanding of exactly what they want, all the way down to specifics like where they want commas.

I think you'd really get more out of building a relationship with a freelancer rather than relying on a somewhat anonymous service.

Be careful what service you choose. You might pay 5 cents a word for content but they outsource it to someone they pay 2 cents a word.

Don't fall into the trap that you have to pay a hefty amount of cash to get quality text. There are many writers out there that focus on their passion for writing. The money is secondary.

If you want real quality reach out to some of the best writers here. they charge a higher amount of money. However in the end you will have a better article.

Been using iWriter for a while now, very good site when you find writers that are suitable for your needs!

I only went for the elite articles, managed to find a couple of writers (eventually!) and still use them 12 months later.

Works out about $15 for a 800 word article of decent quality.

I'd just like to interject a bit of common sense, from a writer's perspective.

I signed up to iWriter, saw the payments and walked away laughing hysterically to myself.

You are not going to get quality for $5-10. At best you're going to get precisely 12 minutes of a decent writer's time. At worst you're going to get a Third World supplier doing their very best in a language that isn't their own.

The downsides go well beyond the grammatical errors that can easily be weeded out. It's the research, the gist of the article, the basic understanding of your site and what you need to drive traffic.

Most of these $5 articles are slightly less effective than taking the bill out your pocket and setting it on fire. Really. Someone will come on here and say I'm full of it and writers do it for the love. Someone already has. Check the IP and see where they are. I'm in Spain right now, it's cheaper than some countries and I would still earn more than $5 working in the local McDonalds.

If content is important to you then it's worth investing in quality. If you get a writer willing to work for less than $40 a post I would seriously doubt their credentials and what they can do for your business.

If you just want random words, knock yourself out. If you're actually working on content marketing, you need to really think again.

I am not trying to hijack the thread and will leave it after this I promise! But how many bucks have you made from them? It just can't be very many if you try and do a half decent job on the article. It will work out less than $80 for a full day.

              God bless America, right?

Where some idiot decided (more like a bunch of idiots) it was a good idea to extort men and lock them up when they couldn't pay.

Sorry to hear about it. I have been through terrible times, too. You know why I am telling you this? I did a month on a content mill when my work dried up. I worked like a dog and the problem is you never get the time to put your head up and look for real work.

It's a trap, a trap you really have to work hard to get out of.

On a big picture level, it's feeding the monster and driving down rates across the board.

I used iWriter when they had reasonable rates. I'm perfectly okay with rate increase as long as its proportionate to Really good quality writing. If you request for several articles for a specific niche, you'll end up receiving articles that have been spun. That's quite depressing.

There are many on here on Warrior forum that write quality articles at an affordable price.

You might want to use the search tab in the "Warrior For hire tab" and search around.

iWriter - most articles hastily written and it shows even when you choose premium writers. I totally understand that the writers try to squeeze as many words per hour as possible but this leads to poorly researched and watered down articles.

Fiverr - the same problem exaggerated multiple time plus it's impossible to reject an article if you're not happy about it.

Odesk is much better if you're ready to go through multiple postings and dozens of writers until you find really good ones. And I mean not only high quality researched articles but communication, response time, etc.

I've recently used iwriter for the first time and was pleasantly surprised.

I was only asking for 500 word articles ($3/article - standard writers). Though I did have to refuse a few I added "native English speakers only" to the top of the posting and ended up with 2 very well written articles, each over 600 words.

If you have financial restrictions but are patient you will eventually find a decent writer.

I can only assume the professional or elite writers are of a excellent standard.

iWriter is certainly a good bet. I have been an elite writer with them for years, and it's helped me keep the bill collectors off of my back for sure.

When requesting articles, I would just make certain that your instructions are very clear, and always respond to a writers email questions. On occasion requesters can be very vague about their content needs, and our only way to communicate is through the iWriter messaging system.

    Good luck,

    .

    Hi guys,

You could very well find a few good writers by contacting a journalism or English professor at a local university...and ask him/her for a few recommendations.

If a university professor is willing to vouch a student, then you stand a better chance of success with them than if you just hired someone blind.

As a publishing consultant and writer, I know that finding a few hungry young writers who are motivated to make some money while they build up their experience is SO MUCH BETTER than hiring someone who simply wants to crank out some cheap articles fast.

    Wish you well.....

Right here! I am a writer! Can I say that here? lol I have a 4.7 rating (out of a possible 5) on iWriter!

The people in this forum helped me find my calling! (Thank you, again!) I want to spread my wings, and open new doors!

It is kind of time consuming, but I really enjoy it! I don't really have one thing I am good at writing--I like it all! SEO, Marketing, Health, Dating, Bands, Condiments, you name it!

Edit: I guess I should have mentioned I am just one of the Elite writers there, and the only reason I don't have 5 stars is due to the fact that when I am asked to write in a 'friendly' tone, I use common English terms or jokes that I guess A LOT of people don't understand, because they wrote "I don't understand" or "This doesn't make sense" on the rejection, lol!

It actually makes it kind of tough (unless you have wrote for a specific person before) to be able to tell EXACTLY what the writer wants....pain in the butt, actually! But it's still a lot of fun!

You can do so at iwriter.

Although there are other sites like Odesk, Elance and Guru etc, iwriter is the one I outsourced and recommended personally because of the quality of work they provides.

If the articles they write are not to your expectations, you reserve the right not to pay until they do it right to how you want your articles to be like.

Depending on the quality of what you want written will have an effect on the cost. I had writers submit 3 samples of their writing, each on a different subject, before I hired any. Some were good enough for me to hire, some were not. I pay my writers about $400 for 20 500-750 word articles. The articles are high quality and my writers are knowledgeable about the niche, which also leads to high quality articles.
I used internet job postings asking for writers myself, and LinkedIn was a help to because I had met and worked with writers at some previous jobs. If these writers I knew didn't need the work they knew someone who did.

Good luck in all that you do. I wish you success in this venture.

iWriter is very good but you need to check if you are allowed to access their service (They have blocked few IPs). You can also get some good writers from Elance.com, Odesk.com. Just check the quality of their service before giving your work.

Even on our forum "Warriors For Hire" section has got good writers who can write the articles in a professional but user friendly tone. You just need to explore yourself

I think someone mentioned it before, but searching for "article writer" and getting past the content mills can help you find a professional writer who will write affordable content for you. It's one way I've gotten many clients of my own, by them searching for a writer online and landing on my site. While you may get cheap writing at the content mills, you often get what you pay for. If quality is as important to you as price, you'll do better to find a writer to work with directly rather than going through a third-party site like iwriter or any other, in my opinion.
