Domain Traffic Estimates for Cash Parking?

Hello,

Im trying to (possibly) start buying dropped and expiring domains in bulk. Ultimately, I would like to get some cash from domain parking.. Any idea if there is a tool to estimate how much traffic I can get for each domain?

Im trying mostly single keyword domains. Would appreciate your assistance.

Thanks...

Traditional domain parking isn't going to do much for you at all these days. Years ago, you could do extremely well with it, but now that Google does not index parked pages, it is RARE that a parked domain even pays back it's own registration fee over a year. The vast majority of parked domains never make ANY revenue.

The way to do it is to install your own hosted parked page that is monetized in some way. Then you stand a chance of getting indexed and getting traffic to it. Use Adsense, affiliate links, your own offers, etc. Unless you're providing real value to the visitor though, you will struggle to get the site ranked high enough to generate traffic.

I just started parking domains the beginning of this year and have already generated over $7 (parking roughly 60 domains at ParkingCrew). Granted it's not a lot, but it's only been a month and a half, and for half of that time I had no idea what I was doing. Parking may not be as good as it was in the old days, but to say "it's not going to do much for you", I completely disagree. If you know what you're doing, and you continue to scale up, there's still money to be made.

As far as traffic estimates, I would suggest using Alexa. You won't get an exact number (I don't believe there is a tool that could do such), but you'll at least get a general idea via the Alexa rank.

You are on target to make $34 this year and pay $500+ in renewal fees. Is that doing much for you?

Parking is overrated. I would rather just sell the domain for what it's worth and move on providing I have interested people.
