Possible to use an affiliate strategy for $100k+ Commission Opportunities?

Warriors. I am torn between the best ways to generate revenue for my new employer. We are a SaaS enterprise listening startup that utilizes email data bases to segment and provide one to one automated marketing. My management team is open to a partner / channel / or affiliate marketing program. The problem is, there is a sales cycle involved and some deals we've closed in the past would've payed out $100k+ to the partner if they were brought to us by an affiliate / partner. I am having difficulty wrapping my mind around the best type of "Partnership" for referrals that generate business for us, so my questions are:
  1. Is there any particular affiliate aggregator (Like Commission Junction) that work best for semi-complex sales cycles that might integrate with my company's crm?
  2. Is an affiliate program a bad idea for a SaaS platform that requires some sales cycle?
  3. If a partner channel program would be more effective, how would I go about finding "en mass" email marketing consultants / email service providers / and other potential partners to effectively build a partner channel?
Definitely appreciate any feedback that can help point me in the right direction!

    I work for an employer where I resell his services in my own time too, I have just created my own lead gen website that collects leads that I then convert over the phone or via email in my own time. Obviously because I have access to the backend it's very easy to track and monitor the spend of clients I refer. That's how I work it.
