A market you can offer valuable information to your subscribers. Not something you can find on a two minute google search.

    Just my opinion
    Good luck

  • Hi

The best one to build a list on is often fields outside of traditional IM.

Health is a good strong and evergreen niche but make sure that you drill down to a sub-niche inside that market and initially focus on that.

Generally, you will build a good solid list by helping them solve a problem so focus your list building around that,

Make sure that you then cover the right keywords so that they can actually find you online.

    All the best

Health, Wealth & Relationship are the 3 broad markets that you can build your list. Inside these markets there are several niches & sub niches that are good. If you stick to these broad markets you'll have lots of products to promote.

You need to go way narrower.

Look on Google for problems that folk have. I mean, health is so wide. It could be narrowed to losing weight>>> Losing weight for women>>> Losing tummy fat for women.

You could go further but that is the basic idea.

Then check if there is competition. No competition = bad.

THEN…. what are your competition doing? How can you do it differently? What hook will you use to get folk in to your offer?

    Enough for starters.

I didn't want to make another thread, so I'll ask this here now. What about teaching others how to Make money online through freelancing? Is that a good way to build a list? Or should I go deeper?

      Cheers,

    • We actually look for no competition in lots of niches as the primary dictator is actually the commercial intent of the keyword.

We have found many keywords that were untouched as people felt that they didn't have enough competition.

Well, guess what - we made the money that others left on the table.

      Others didn't as they assumed.

      Hope that helps

      Regards

Niches which have problems which can be solved by you proving the solution.

ie, how to build a 6 pack, people want to gain a 6 pack, so you provide exercises and diets.

Picking a niche should be easy. Select something you are very interested in and also very knowledgeable in. Its really that simple.

That's a great question and is really a proxy for the question "what market should I work in". You need to consider if there is an audience for your market that is able and willing to pay for products and/or services. If the answer is yes then it is a good market to work and worth building a list for. If the answer is no then I wouldn't build a list or bother working the market in the first place.

Health niche is very broad to target my friend you should go in much more deep research than you can make a valuable list in your subscriber s list.
So getting info about the problems of people from different question answer and forum sites and help them out.........

    Hi,

For me it would be the I.M./M.M.O. niches.

Remember too that you DON'T have to stick with trying to make it big
with that main niche subject area.

DRILL DOWN into the sub niche areas too.

Make a list and work on that list that you've drilled down into and build
a list around those sub niche areas too.

For me, the internet marketing niche is the best. About the rest, you should focus on something you have knowledge to deal with.

I am biased and will say the "IM" niche can be the most profitable - but much like other comments on this thread, you then have to go deeper within that niche.
the IM niche is much like the health niche - in that they are very broad and comprise many sub-niche's.

It is these sub-niches that provide value to the target market.

For instance, within the IM niche, you will have a sub-niche, say "list building"

Now we can drill down even further and target a sub-niche of "list building" and find say. "creating a squeeze page" or "increasing optin rates"

Further, if you are looking to create a business through building a list, choose something that excites you and something you have knowledge in.

    Good luck!

The health market is huge is extremely profitable. The market is not that accustomed to marketing tactics and are extremely fanatical about the subject matter.

    Competition or no competition.

I think that every niche out there is worth getting into and getting your own list. Sure the make money online niche is competitive but if many are doing well and they just started in the past few months, then anyone can.

make money niche definitely....think about it.
im list will always buy, they are always looking for next best thing. new wordpress theme, etc.
where at potty training book, you can sell once, they use it and it is done, you can not market to that list again

Unless you plan on building a "Health" type of authority website, I would suggest you niche-down and narrow your focus.

The Health "market" has thousands of niches underneath it. Some marketers even put the Fitness market underneath it (I don't, I consider it a completely separate market, but I digress).

There's no such thing as the "IM niche"; I'm sure people are referring to the MMO (Make Mone Online) niche. Internet marketing isn't a market either, it's merely a way of marketing goods and services.

Ask 100 marketers what the best markets or niches are to "build lists" in and you'll get 100 varying answers, mostly because of marketer's bias.

I look for niches in markets that:

    * Have rabid buyers who are REPEAT buyers.
    * Do not rely on trends or seasons (you'll never see me market anything for Halloween, Christmas, etc. I want something that I can sell consistently all year round)
    * Has a large enough demographic where I can build a solid 6 or 7 figure business that can last for decades so that I can either trust it over to my family and/or trust it over to my favorite charities.
    * Have a readily, identifiable and specific set of needs and wants and has several solutions that I can market.

If I enter a niche and if I cannot find any advertising, if there aren't at least 20 products or services that I can recommend to other, and if there is ZERO competition, then it's very doubtful that I'll enter it. Of course, there are exceptions such as selling certain types of medical equipment or unique high ticket products, but in general, these are the types of things I'm looking for.
