Is it acceptable to embed other peoples Youtube videos on your own site?

I would assume it is considering the "embed option" that's under all Youtube videos and by embedding you are creating a link back to the video.

But I was wondering if there may be issues when it's a case that you might be benefiting from displaying their videos with your written content i.e. to promote products etc.
If this was someone elses "images" you were using it would be a serious issue.

Just would like to get someones 2 cents on the matter anyway. Thanks.

    If you can embed it then it means the owner allows you to embed it. Image is another story.

    This question seems to be asked about once a week.

    If YT offers the embed code, it's OK to embed the videos on your pages. When people upload videos to YT they are given the option to allow or not allow others to embed their videos. So, if a video has the embed code, it's because the uploader enabled it.

    if you like to use some image you have to take permission,
    and about video like Adie said you can embed youtube video if it allows.

      I agree I have done it quite a few times. I go with the theroy that if they allow embeding then its OK. If you have ever uploaded a youtube.com video they make it very clear whether or not you WISH to allow embeding or not. Just my 2 cents.

    Just make sure you claim the video as your own and certainly don't copy the video.
