I don't know what to do about this

I paid for a service from a user a couple of months ago from a WSO for a sales funnel ($300). Guaranteed results were $1k per month income after first month.

He was really failing badly at giving me any results that had been promised, and I went back to the WSO thread to check up on other peoples reviews, and the thread had been deleted. It was several pages long, tons of support being offered, lots of reviews, seemed to be doing well, gone overnight.

Because of this, plus the fact that he wasn't responding to my messages, and that he had not delivered the results promised, I requested a refund.

He did respond finally and agreed to refund my money. Then I never heard from him again. I tried getting the refund via the paypal buyer protection, but they denied me because it's an intangible object, and I only had to wait 5 weeks to find that out.

I submitted a ticket here on WF, but evidently they are too busy with important things to respond. Not trying to talk poorly of WF, I just imagine my question about how to get a refund is something I should already know.

I found this guys other thread, and it had been locked by moderators.

I don't know what's going on with this guy. It's like he ended up being a scam artist, and the WF moderators just delete all the evidence and methods of sharing honest scam-alert-reviews on his threads....

What am I supposed to do? I hate to let this go, and I know I can't come on here and badmouth someone, so i'm trying to choose my words carefully, but I'm at a loss.

Any advice?

    Wow. "Deleting evidence." Leaping to some tall conclusions there, Superman.

    PM me the details. There's a very good chance this person has already been banned, and the deleted thread was removed as a way to apply pressure for them to honor their refund policy before the ban was put in place.

    I should not have posted that last part about deleting evidence, that was a bold claim and I'm sorry.

    I just wish I could have called this guy out and discussed the issue with other buyers and potential buyers of the wso before it was deleted.

      So, here's what happened. It's the offer I thought, so my suspicions were correct.

      We got complaints about an offer, and we looked into it. The thread was soft-deleted, with instructions to the seller to handle delivery issues and refund requests. Soft-deleting did a couple of things.

      It kept anyone else from spending money on what might have turned out to be a scam, or funding a downward spiralling service screw-up if it were just bad planning and poor execution. And it provided more leverage, as it allowed the seller to re-open the offer if he resolved the issues and demonstrated that it was a temporary situation.

      THAT is what the OP interpreted as the mods "deleting evidence."

      Understand, folks, that once a person is banned, we have no leverage at all to try and work things out. None.

      The guy was eventually banned. And now, nearly 3 weeks later, in comes this fellow with his insinuations about the intent and actions of the mods.

      I will say, Skeeter is understandably upset. That deal worked out poorly for a number of people, and it wasn't just some $7 Wordpress theme. But that does NOT justify accusing the people who have already taken every possible step to fix the problem of being complicit in a fraud.
      I just wish I could have called this guy out and discussed the issue with other buyers and potential buyers of the wso before it was deleted.
      As far as I know, the order buttons and other info were removed, so there should not have been any other potential buyers. And discussing it wasn't going to help anyone get anything done to resolve the issue. It would just anger more people who didn't notice the word "Banned" under the guy's name.
