Ranking Product Review/Affiliate Site

I own a domain that is an EMD and plan on turning it into a product review/affiliate site that matches the domains name. My question is, how hard is it to rank a product review site?

    I believe since it is EMD ranking would be a lot easier.

    I would say just as hard as ranking any other site.

    Googles update diminished the EMD advantage - so you will need to rely on content and quality backlinks.

    If its for a single product with a single review, it may never see the top of the SERPs unless you by chance have a low comp longtail keyword.

    I'm not a major leauge player in the SEO game so I could be off, but I know enough to get by

    It really depends more on the Google competition and the specific keywords you are targeting.

    With a very low competition keyword your EMD can be a big boost. If there is competition in the SERPs then the EMD will help but other factors become more important.
