Hello everyone, you see the wealthy donate millions to different charities, why can't successful list builders donate solo ads? I think that the law of attraction and the way the universe works you will be greatly rewarded if you did donate quality solo ad mailings to your list every once in a while.

Just a thought my friends, we reap what we sow.

Millionaires donate to charities for public image more than "giving back".. You wouldn't get that kind if exposure from donating solo ads ... Basically there's nothing in it for the list builder but maybe good karma and they worked their butt off to make it where they are ... Why give it away?

    Eric,

The level of pro bono work that successful list builders and/or solo ad providers provide goes well beyond a simple freebie to their list.

We help our lists out often - and we help each other out often as well.

Not sure what the reason for your post is but unless you are a list builder or you are a solo provider you couldn't possibly know what goes on behind the scenes and see the 'philanthropic' nature of those businesses, separate or combined.

Eric, which service of your own might you be offering here today that would equal the value of the type of free solo ads that you seek?

I'm sure some Warriors would appreciate tapping into your offerings too.

      A. Valid point you have hidden in there my friend. The wealthy donate for the tax write off too...

Sometimes it can make a HUGE difference in what Uncle Sam gets

There are some interesting assumptions in this thread.

I currently have over 80 lists, some of them are over a decade old. Only one of them is in the MMO niche and that list is only used to send out updates to a product that I offer, the other 79 lists have nothing to do with MMO and none of my lists are open to any kind of solo ads. One can "donate" or give value in many different ways other than donating a solo ad.

I donate generously to my favorite charities and have also helped many Warriors in this forum behind-the-scenes, oftentimes at my own expense. I definitely don't do it for the PR, I do it because it's the right thing to do.

Some of us "donate" both our time and money in many different ways. It's dangerous to make general assumptions without really knowing what people do behind closed doors (or even in public) without really knowing the person.

Hm, actually it's a good idea. As soon as I become a list building guru, I'll donate a couple of solo ads (or offer a discounted price).

Tell your friend that if he did a bit more sowing he could reap his own benefits...
