Hey guys,

I have a question for the more experienced.

Up to now, in my sales funnel, I always used a single OTO (with downsell and upsell obviously!).

I noticed, however, the tendency of some marketers to use a "Thank You" page right after the optin.

The Thank you page contains 6-7 different products (often affiliate products).

Can I get better results with this method?

Surely I will get more clicks, but I do not know if the ROI is better ... not likely to create confusion into the potential buyer?

This method is often used by those who sell sales funnel traffic, but i LOVE to do marketing, so i need to SELL.

I am really happy with my traditional method (OTO + upsell and downsell) but I would like to know what you think of the method of "Thank you" page with many different products.

Thank you so much for your feedback about it!

If you are more worried about ROI then I would not do the Thank You page method. I have found it best to to go directly to an offer after they opt in. Whether its an affiliate offer with OTO's, upsells and downsells already in place... or your own product with the funnel in place. It all comes down to how the funnel is set up and how the conversions are. If its your own product always be split testing to increase conversions and ROI. This is just my 2 cents.

In fact, to date, almost all marketers using the "Thank you" page with various products, using it for the sale of CLICKS.

Other marketers who have experiences in this regard?

      Thanks.

    (Personal Opinion!!)

If someone is listing 6, 7 or 8 affiliate products on their thank you page it's for two reasons:
    a) To make as much money as they can as soon as possible in desperation without thinking in the long term
    b) Because they lack their own products to put as the upsell but also don't know what one product to focus on.

The same applies to exit offer after exit offer. It screams desperation to me and also that you're eager to squeeze money from your subscribers.

I've always found the long term approach to work well. Of course, give them an upsell with perhaps one downsell and an additional upsell but DO NOT go on and on about the sale.

Instead, remind them in a week once they've had a chance to go through your freebie (which should provide an indication of the quality of your work).

Personally, I'd keep your funnel as it is now, simple and relaxed.

If you give a report away from your squeeze page, send your new subscriber directly to the sales letter. From there you can do your upsell and downsell.

When the new subscriber checks his email, and confirms if you are doing double optin.

You have the ability to edit the confirm message and in that message confirm that you requested to download "Product Name".

Set the redirect of your confirm email to a download page for the free report. On this download page put your ads for affiliate products you want to promote.

This way you get the best of both worlds. You are able to do both.

I hope this has been helpful,

There are 3 pieces to the funnel. 1. you opt in page. 2. right away give them a redirect page that says thank you, your free report has just been emailed and then the page redirects after 3-4 seconds to a sales offer. 3. when they click on their email to get the free report or whatever they go to a thank you page that gives them the link to the report and one or maybe two offers to something related to what they opted in for. This gives your overall funnel a good chance to make sales while still keeping your eye on the longer term relationship. Don't hit them with 6,7 or 8 deals at one time.

    Don't follow the herd...

Keep your own products in the sales funnel so you can capture the buyers. You can place "thank you ads" on the download pages if you want.

But don't be a "me too" marketer and start doing this because you see lots of other folks doing it.

In my opinion you should be focusing on branding. Folks doing the method you explained are only worried about clicks and not necessarily branding their business for the long run.

    But...

You could always split test this and see if the results increase your ROI.

But in my experience the easiest way to increase ROI would be to add another upsell or downsell to your funnel.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers,
    Coby

The thank you page with 5 links is good for rapid list growth. those links usually are sent to click banking partners, who in return will send the same amount of clicks back to your squeeze page.

with 100 new subs and 70 click on a link = extra 70 clicks back to your squeeze page.

OTO is good when you dont need to bank clicks anymore and have a large enough list to adswap instead (clicks are generally sent through a single broadcast or two).
