Converting real world ppl into virtual opt ins

I have noticed a lot of people on here are very protective of their niches .

I have no fear of competition in a niche that I am just considering monetizing .
I set up the relationships and credibility for the last year online and 15 years off line .

The niche is fastpitch softball. I am somewhat of a hero on several fastpitch forums

I have set up admittedly a cheap splash page and didn't do any optimizing so to speak. It is number one for best fastpitch drills . I was just basically taking up web space until I got ready to get serious

BEST FASTPITCH DRILLS

I have set up a pretty good online persona . google outlaw fastpitch coach.

I am looking for ways to get people at tournaments to sign up to my online newsletter .

Any suggestions will be appreciated and considered

    I would hand out business cards. flyers, brochures etc with some kind of incentive to visit your site and sign up.

    Create a local new site that has scores and articles about the tournament. You can even video the games and play them bacl on the site. Give teasers and make them opt in for the full version - similar to how the NY Times site is/was.

      That would work if we were a local team. We are a Class A travel team.

      This means we travel from state to state and play .

      But you just gave me a great idea from your idea .

          Might actually do that for the parents , The girls are in uniforms that are already monetized for the season

    The suggestion I would have is that one that I used. I created a flyer or bulletin whatever you want to call it with the individual ads cut so everyone that sees it can pull one off the flyer and take it home. Not an explosion of traffic but any additional traffic is traffic nonetheless.
