The ONE thing you should NEVER forget...

Since around Thanksgiving of last year my family has faced a number of personal and emotional challenges. Twice in these past seven months we've had to come to grips with the fact that life is fragile and fleeting. That no matter how much we care for each other, at some point in our lives it is very likely that people we know and love will be called from this earth and once they have been we can no longer make up for lost time. We can't rewind. We can't go back and let them know how incredible it is to have them as a part of our lives.

I thank God for the strength He has given us to endure those trying times.

I'm very fortunate to have the success that I have. But no amount of money or success can in any way replace what our loved one mean to us, or the impact that they have on our own existence.

So I remind you of this one thing: no matter how successful you are, no matter how busy you are with your business efforts, never forget to tell those in your life who are special to you just exactly how much you love them, need them, and appreciate them. Believe me, you may wake up one day and realize that it's too late.

Don't make that mistake.

Love those you care about. Cherish them. And let them know exactly what they mean to you.

Amen brother. People are so busy chasing millions that they often forget. But the money would mean nothing without loved ones to share it with.

    Absolutely!

As Billie D. Williams said in Mahogany...

"success is nothing without someone you love to share it with."

    Never forget what's truly important.

Get busy and create another source of income!

You're so right. My wife has told me over and over about how fragile this life is, and that I should slow down and enjoy the simple things. And so many times I have just brushed it off.

Your post has made me think again about what she keeps reminding me of-- and what life is REALLY all about.

    Thanks, friend.

      You're very welcome, indeed.

You are so right! I've been online since march trying to figure out IM. 3 1/2 months straight working into the wee hours. I have two little ones who are missing out on Mommy. On the one side, I feel like I have to learn everything RIGHT NOW, but on the other side I need to cut back and interact with my children...and my husband. Priorities. Got to decide which things are important. Family is definitely before IM.
    Thanks for your post.

Steven, sorry for your loss. Having lost my dad very suddenly a few months ago I know exactly what you are saying. Although regrets are not helpful, you always feel as if you wanted one more hug, one more conversation, one more fishing trip or one more whatever. All the more reason to cherish every living moment.

Great message Steven and as already said, a great reminder. Seems the faster our world gets the more we can get caught up in it, caught up in so many other things and slide away from the important things in our lives. Being away not only before loss but also before alienation in some cases.
