Depression and Anxiety Niche

Hey Guys,
I am pretty new to IM but have some pretty good depression and anxiety domains. What would you do with these names? Amazon affiliate, authority sites etc...

    My suggestion would be, You Should use them to collect leads and subsequent blog on those domain names.

    Huge niche but approach must be tactful as there is still, unfortunately, a stigma attached to these issues.
    Would suggest posting your query in the mind warrior's forum:
    Mind Warriors - Success, Power, Self-Improvement

    as you'll find a lot of folks in there that focus on those issues regularly, and likely have some better direction for you.

    I have a list of about 650 in this niche, and it sells HORRIBLE. I have only made one sale from the list (over 12 emails). My suggestion would be to ditch it, and focus on another niche.
    These people feel like they shouldn't have to pay help. Very strange group of people.

      Funny, I find that niche to be one of the easiest to market to and make money in.

      Then again I don't consider them to be strange. You calling them strange and "these people" says a lot about why you fail with that niche.

      Your true attitude and intentions towards them probably comes through your selling.

      They are a smart group and deserve respect. Treat them any other way and you won't make a dime, and rightfully so.

        Yeah I agree. Clinical Depression is a horrible disease. Had a close friend who had everything going great in his Life. And then just one day this dreaded feeling overcame him like a dark cloud above his head.

        There was no reason for it to happen because his Life was moving smoothly.

        Thats the scary thing about Clinical Depression , it can creep up on you from nowhere.

        Lack of chemicals in the brain and number of other factors can start it.

        I would be careful of who you are calling strange or wierd or whatever.

        Because it can happen to you or me!


        If you play it right and really get to know what these "people" are going thru and the battle they fight everyday, then maybe you would kick some butt in the Niche !

        Study, Learn, and Listen and you could become somewhat of an Authority in the Niche if you work at it. (maybe not a MD or PHD but still someone from a layman's perspective that could help people in this situation.)

    If the domains are good as you state them to be just throw in a solid template, few articles and flip them! Seems pretty logical to me.

      Not knowing specifics of the domain names, generalizations may not be helpful. Nevertheless this a huge market with many niches and micro-niches.

      Nearly 1 in 5 adults over 18 years old suffers from various kinds of anxiety disorders (40 million in the US), so don't worry too much about not being able to find prospects. For best results, you should build an email list of respondents to your promotions.

      One of the easiest ways to monetize it is through education; offer books for example from Amazon. Consider targeting caregivers, counselors, close family members, etc of the afflicted. Some of the sub-categories to consider may be:

      Generalized Anxiety Disorder
      Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
      Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
      Social Anxiety Disorder
      Depression
      Bipolar Disorder
      Substance Abuse

      There are many hundreds of ezine publishers who may accept relevant articles with the benefit of driving targeted traffic through a "resource box", and similarly perhaps millions of websites/blogs. Look also for offline publications which specifically address these issues.
