How powerful are landing pages ?

I hear everyone talking about them, how powerful has landing pages been ever since your endeavors of internet marketing ?

    That's a pretty broad question, depending on what your goals are they are very useful for capturing leads which can lead to product sales with email marketing.

      If you are dealing in paid traffic or otherwise cold leads then it's essential. Otherwise why pay for the lead.

      The other thing a landing page does is help sell yourself. Unless you're using one provided by a company (not recommended since people buy from you and not just another program) it gives you a chance to sell yourself.

      Ultimately they are the opening to your sales funnel, I can't see not having one.

    Right it is a rather vague question but a good landing page is very important. It is the first impression and possible the only one that a visitor will get to see what you have to offer. If he does not like what he sees he can be gone in one second.
    On the other hand a good landing / squeeze page can lead into a opt-in that allows you to build trust and make sales possible multiple sales to that lead.
    A good landing page can be vital to list building and should not be overlooked as a key ingredient to success.

    Landing pages serve one purpose : To Collect E-Mails.

    Email marketing is a crucial to any serious marketer online.

    The key to powerful landing page is optimizing them for high conversion and learning how to follow up.

    You can check conversion by simply sending a solo ad over to your site.

    But remember: Landing pages are just one part of the equation in order to be successful online

    It purely depends on how good your landing page is. If you put a ton of effort into your landing page, it can most definitely be a great asset to your sales.

    I kind of like some of those landing pages with videos on.

    I rarely end up buying the products, but the videos often stick around in my head for a while. So they must be great for branding purposes.

    Two examples I can think of are a PUA one and a binary options trading one I saw just last night.

    Landing pages are EVERYTHING! That's where you send your traffic to even if you have a responsive list.

    I'll go a little against the other suggestions. It all depends on what you advertise and your traffic source. I have great success with direct linking when I promote CPA offers. Split tests have shown that some offers convert better without landing pages. Other times, the conversion rate is better with a landing page that pre-sells the offer. Again, for CPA offers, if the landing page of the offer converted well with direct linking, I do not find it useful to make a landing page.

    i always run a pre-sale lander for dating traffic to try and get a better backend conversion for the advertiser for higher quality traffic, but again this is a broad question to answer, in most cases i would say a landing page will be better as long as you're good at making them.

      Are you asking about landing pages for PPC ads? or SEO? If you are looking to test a market before you dive in, landing pages can help a lot in combination with PPC ads. For SEO, landing pages if ranked high can help bring traffic to your offer, collect emails, etc. So IMO they are very important. But like a previous warrior said, it depends on what your goals are.

    Building a list is very important when it comes to internet marketing, in fact if you want long term success in internet marketing I would suggest building a list from the start. The landing page and squeeze page is the main way marketers go about building their list ( along with onsite webforms) so I would say landing page in general is much needed in this industry. How powerful it is depends upon how good a landing page you got.

    Landing pages is the name of the internet marketing game. It's very important. It's how we collect emails, keep in touch with people and gain a following. Without them, creating sales and even generating traffic would be tough. Everyone we encounter would be a one time thing. With landing pages, we are able to generate leads. With leads, we are able to build a list. With a list, we can create traffic and have the ability to create sales. It's like having your very own personal atm machine especially once you've nurtured and cultivated your list properly.

    They answer is: do you want to make one-time or one off sales or repeat sales from subscribers? Do you want to have your visitors skim through your site randomly or take them to a specific strategic page where you want your visitors to take a specific action?

    How powerful a landing page is depends on how you build it. Anyone can design and put online a landing page. Literally, anyone. But not everyone can convince people to subscribe or take your offer seriously, so it all depends on your ability to build a good one.

    Landing pages are very important I did a lot of studying trying to find the right platform for me and my colleagues.

    I narrowed it down to 2 of the best landing pages and funnel systems online.

    ClickFunnel vs PLS

    I looked a little deeper and found that PLS had all the same features as ClickFunnel but with caps on how many websites you can create + a big price difference so went with Power Lead System

    I am actively getting between 5-10 leads a day on average. The best thing about it is I actually save money because I no longer need aweber which costs a fortune when you start racking up the leads.

    The PLS system literally has everything you need including training on how to get traffic from all different areas.

    You can build a great list with either system, I just chose what I believe to be 'THE BEST'.

    Think of a landing page as a picture of an item on a menu at a resturant that you sit down too.You are more likely to order what looks pleasing on the eye and in that case dellicious than you would order something that looks unpleasent and not very appealing,same works with landing pages.The better looking the page the more inviting it looks and the better change people will want to sign up or opt in

    Yes important. It's what your visitor will judge you and the rest of your content by. You have about 5 seconds or less to get and keep your visitors 'engaged'.

    So landing pages are a vital part of your success.

    If you aren't using landing pages in your business then you are simply just losing out on a lot of potential money. As I mentioned previously, they serve one purpose and that is to collect prospects email address with no other distractions, keep them simple as possible. The more information you put the lower the conversion rate typically.
